Biography

Hello! I am Natalia Reed, an editor offering line-editing, copyediting, and proofreading services. My experience lies with non-fiction, prose, fiction, and poetry. I have worked as an editor for professionally recognized literary magazines. Additionally, I have dabbled in copywriting; The most notable of my copywriting clients was an overseas museum. As a writer myself, I know it takes a lot of courage to put your work out there. My goal is to edit your work so that you can be confident you are putting your best foot forward in whatever you do. Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications

I have editing experience in poetry, prose, and fiction. I served as editor-in-chief of a literary journal, which received a REALM award for the issue I compiled. Additionally, I have experience in copywriting and conducting research for an overseas museum exhibit, giving me experience with collaborating online on writing projects. As such, my experience includes handling communications with writers, picking pieces for publication, line editing, and proofreading. I am incredibly passionate about bringing unheard voices to the forefront of literature, and much of my experience is from working on projects for women and by women. I also have experience with cultural sensitivity training. In addition to being an editor, I am a published poet, playwright, and certified social media strategist.

Interests and hobbies

My interests are reading, writing, music, nature, and mental wellness. When I'm not editing, you can find me writing poetry, short stories, novels, or reading for pleasure. I indulge in many genres, but my favorites include self-help, fantasy, romance, young adult, and classic literature. Music is always playing in my house. I have been a guitarist for six years, so when I am not writing music, you can find me listening to it, watching musicals, or covering my favorite songs. One of my favorite weekend activities is going for a walk and finding a spot to sunbathe and play music. Besides enjoying the great outdoors, I am a proud plant mom! I also enjoy supporting funds for environmental conservation.

I would describe myself as creative, detailed, authentic, loyal, and ambitious. I feel fulfilled by achieving my goals and helping others achieve theirs.

My aim is not to ruthlessly strike your work with red marks but to handle it carefully, spotting mechanical errors and making you aware, through queries, of other changes that may benefit your piece.
