Biography

I've worked as the content creator for a small business for 3+ years, writing or editing everything from longform blog posts to sales/marketing materials. Occasionally, I research and write content for our clients' educational displays, revising as needed based on their feedback.

On my own time, I enjoy creative writing and providing feedback to other aspiring fiction writers. I can offer suggestions on plot flow, character development, and other content issues, or simply proofread for small grammatical errors.

Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications

My writing/editing experience includes:

• Full-time Content Creator for a small business (writing and editing blog articles; researching and writing content for our clients' educational displays, then revising as needed based on their feedback)
• Freelance writer and editor (pitching, writing, and revising mid-length articles for a variety of magazines and topics; editing blog posts for a leadership company; etc)
• Editorial Intern at the University of South Carolina Press

I earned my college degree in English, and I've also been an informal editor for several of my friends who write stories.

Interests and hobbies

Interests: world history (especially Central Asian history), literature/books of all sorts, learning languages (specifically French and ancient Hebrew). Hobbies: reading, discussing, and writing about books; cross-stitching; photography.

I'm curious and I can find just about anything interesting. I love listening to other people tell me about the things they're passionate about.

Thorough, detail-oriented, focused, persistent.

Why should you choose me for your project

Your ideas or stories deserve the chance to shine without any nitpicky errors getting in your readers' way. I love helping a piece of writing become the best it can be, and I excel at finding even the tiniest grammar/punctuation errors. I also have the analytical skills to step back and make bigger-picture suggestions about organization, structure, plot flow, character development, and so on. Ultimately, I don't want to rewrite your work; I want to help your work and your voice be even clearer and more compelling than it already is.
