Tin Balcon

Biography

Hey there! It's me Tin, your freelance editor from TUW! Here to assist and guide you in your writing and help you check off goals to make your document, script, etc. ready for publication.

Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications

I have a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English and graduated Cum Laude and am also working part-time teaching foreign students and learners the English language as an ESL teacher.

Interests and hobbies

You could find me reading a good psychological thriller or rom-com book (there's no in-between) most of the time while playing Spiritual Jazz and Colombian Salsa on the loop. I have a great eye and fascination for architecture and find enjoyment in plucking the strings of my guitar on days that I am not working. I also enjoy a slice of New York Cheesecake and a hot mug of coffee once in a while.

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences

I like staying in on holidays with a tub of ice cream and a good movie playing in the background. I am also the type of person who finds peace and comfort in my own breath through meditation or yoga.

How I'd describe my approach to my work

I am a firm believer that everything that could be taught, could be learned, and this is what makes it easier for me to adapt to all situations and face them head-on. I like taking all tasks as a challenge and trust that I could not only contribute to them but also learn from them to better myself and grow as an effective editor and person in general.

Why should you choose me for your project

I am told by many that I am a great listener and this trait would be beneficial in order to work and collaborate with great and talented writers, both beginners and not. I take my work and profession seriously but I am surely not one to bring that air when exchanging ideas, I would like my clients to be comfortable in speaking out their thoughts and expressing their needs when it comes to working together in composing and creating a piece of work worthy of publishing.
