A customer · 3.0 · August 2024
This is my second project with Polly and the end result was a good cover for my contemporary romance novel. However, her communication is lacking. I posted multiple times providing information and guidance on what I was looking for and there were days with no response. At the end, she did finally start communicating when I voiced my frustration with the missed deadline and was able to complete the project 1 day late. Had she communicated like that from the very beginning, the project could have been completed early and with no problems. Again, the quality of the deliverable was good so I will be open to working with her again in the future, but will expect much better communication throughout. Cheers,

A customer · 2.8 · September 2023
While I appreciate the effort put into the main cover design, there were fundamental issues that left me feeling unsatisfied. One of my key concerns was regarding the a small edit on the book cover to put it specificly, it was the portrayal of a shadow man on the cover. I had requested that the shadow man be rendered with less contrast to give a subtler, shadow-like appearance and that he is to be depicted as grabbing onto the gate. Having a non-illustrator designer makes it difficult to achieve your ideas of the book cover. Regrettably, these requests proved challenging due to the illustrator's limitations, particularly in the area of illustrating the grasping onto the gate. Additionally, through the final 2 revisions, Polly was showing a slight hesitation to design my specific requests as well. She did not follow-up with any suggestions or alternatives solutions.

Title: The Perfect Visual Representation of My Story I couldn't be happier with the gorgeous book cover that she designed for my children's fiction book. As a first-time author, I had no idea how to convey the mood and themes of my complex story through cover art alone. No problem, because she listened patiently as I described the intricate details and perfectly translated them into a cover that captures the essence of the book. The cover design conveys exactly the atmosphere, emotion, and imagery I envisioned for my story. Her attention to detail with the small motifs and color scheme was incredible. I couldn't have asked for a more skilled, creative designer to bring my vision to life. I would highly recommend choosing Polly for any author seeking an adept cover artist and collaborative partner. She patiently guides you through the process to create a cover you'll proudly display. The end product far exceeded my expectations!

I am very happy with the final cover designs from Polly. We did have some difficulties back & forth to land on the right concept largely due to my inability to clearly articulate what I was after. Once I shared some examples of art which met the mood/concept ideas we moved forward quickly. I would use Polly again - with a clear example led approach. RayC
