Biography

I am a writer, editor, and curriculum designer with considerable experience in fiction, comics, technical writing, and tabletop gaming. I'm from a small town in northwest Georgia and received an English degree from a local private college.

Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications

Much of my writing career has been as a technical writer/curriculum designer, where I spent over 17 years creating hands-on STEM curriculum for middle and high school students. Since graduating with a bachelor's in English (including a Writing minor) I've also written fiction and nonfiction as a freelance writer. All of these positions have required me to be proofreader and editor for myself and other team members.

Interests and hobbies

I am avid player of video and tabletop games, including roleplaying games (RPGs). I also enjoy good television and movies, especially sci-fi and fantasy. If a game, show, or movie has a good story or an interesting way of telling it, I'll probably enjoy it!

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences

I'd rather get permission first than apologize later. I care greatly about what I'm editing but more so about the people behind it.

How I'd describe my approach to my work

The work should be as solid as possible the first time. This may mean more time is needed but I want to put my best foot forward and help whoever I'm editing for do the same.

Why should you choose me for your project

I want my work to be helpful. I'm grateful to be part of the getting a writer's ideas out into the world.
