A customer · 4.0 · August 2025

Deborah's designs and creativity are fantastic! I love what she came up with! She took my input into consideration and incorporated the book cover design into the A+ Content beautifully. I appreciated all of the thoughtfulness she put into this project. The only direction needed from me was to remind her of details that she forgot to take care of. I'm glad I have an eagle-eye and am a pretty good editor so that I caught them before I accepted the project as completed. So, I would recommend Deborah for her design and creativity talents and her enthusiasm, with the caveat that you will need to be aware of details she may miss.

The designer is a true artist -- she had a vision and helped me to see it! What she came up with was much more original and interesting than what I had originally conceived and I'm so glad I got to work with her for my book cover.

A customer · 5.0 · March 2023

Deborah was a top notch designer. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted for my mystery novella, but I was absolutely sure what I didn't want. She told those 2 polar opposite requirements and came up with a homerun on the 1st try. I couldn't have imagined in my wildest dreams a better cover then what she delivered. I have definitely found my go to cover designer.

A customer · 5.0 · March 2023

A customer · 5.0 · January 2023

A customer · 4.3 · January 2023

There were a number of miscommunications, some due to my lack of clarity, but often, I felt, it was because Deborah was not reading my descriptions. She frequently asked questions about my preferences that I'd stated already. On the other hand, she did a lot of work trying to respond to my corrections, maybe too much, because I found myself leading instead of following, which was not my intention. I was mostly trying to give examples of what I was interested in, hoping to have her use her designer's eye to come up with a better solution than I could. I suspect she was so busy that she was hoping to find the shortest path to my goal, by producing my suggestions, which, as I said above, were intended more as examples. I was also surprised because the work she did for me looked unlike any of the work in her portfolio, which had a keen sense of proportion and a really elegant layouts. My job was probably so different in style that it didn't draw enough on her strengths. I find that I'm really struggling with TUW's approach. I'd like to have a better sense up front of what available artists can do, and not try to fit my project in, after posting the project, with the styles on offer. Perhaps Upwork is a better alternative for me, nothing I saw among the examples on TUW looked at all like appropriate for my project, I just hoped. So that's not Deborah's fault, that's mine, but it was too late by then for me to withdraw, correct? That's not a good process for me.
