Biography
Hi, I’m Bailey. I’m an editor with The Urban Writers. I love reading and have been editing for about five years, and have a Master’s in English. I enjoy reading Fiction, as well as watch goofy TV shows and play video games with friends on the weekend. I love being a part of novels and works that have readers leave with something, whether that be learning something new and exciting, or experiencing the growth of a character in amazing situations.
Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications
I have a Bachelors in English with some Journalism background, as well as a Masters in English focusing on Creative Writing. I have been editing both Fiction and Non-Fiction for over four years now. My speciality ranges from romance, Sci-Fi, and mysteries to self-help books and educational texts.
Interests and hobbies
Whether it is for work or in my free time, I love reading. I read a little bit of everything. I can never seem to put a book down. I also love watching goofy TV shows and play video games with friends on the weekends. I love trying new craft projects all the time, such as diamond art, pour art, and I even try my hand at drawing from time to time.
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
I am very hard working and won’t stop until the job is done and done right. I am creative and always ready to see what amazing worlds are out there so much so that I love being a part of the process to bring these worlds to readers.
How I'd describe my approach to my work
At the start of the project, I always ask if there’s anything that needs special attention, such as if the project is part of a series, the overall theme, a certain scene, or structure. This is taken into consideration along with your questions or concerns as I read through your whole project. For projects that are part of a series, I work to ensure that the flow and characters are consistent from one work to the next. I also look for any potential plot issues or sentence structure changes that need to be made before it’s sent to you. This requires me to take in the project as a whole, so that the book is at its best when it’s published.
Why should you choose me for your project
You have a vision for your work and I want to help make sure it shines to captures readers. While I’ve worked on many different genres and projects, I am always open to new experiences which makes me a great fit for you. Whether it be a new topic or seeing your characters in different situations, there’s always something new to discover or learn, and readers will love experiencing it along with us.

A customer · 5.0 · July 2023
Bailey was great. I told her what to look out for and she did. I think Ian and I worked so hard on our outline it made her job easier. There was a story that I was on the verge of cutting but she gave us ideas to run with to fix it and improve in the inconsistencies so I didn’t have too. I am grateful to Bailey.
