Interests and hobbies
My passion for writing and editing stems from my being a lifelong bookworm and bibliophile. I enjoy reading a variety of genres, but I am particularly drawn to historical fiction because of its quaint time periods, interesting characters, and immersive storylines. I do vinyasa and gentle yoga most days of the week. Aside from the physical benefits and mindfulness skills that I gain from my regular practice, yoga has taught me perseverance and keeps me open to continuously trying new things in everyday life. I love traveling and exploring the world, as it exposes me to different fascinating adventures and cultures.
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
I am a hardworking and optimistic individual who has always been enthusiastic about my job and focused on seeing the good side of things. I would say that I am deeply loyal, cheerful, and easy to get along with because these are the words that friends, family, colleagues, clients, and writers would often use to describe me.:)
How I'd describe my approach to my work
I take great pride in being a diligent and fiercely committed professional with a strong passion for detail and accuracy. Essentially a team player, I get immense fulfillment from collaborating with writers and customers and making full use of my skills and interests. Most importantly, I value the quality of work that I aim to consistently deliver.
Why should you choose me for your project
With my extensive experience and skills in writing, editing, proofreading, and research, combined with my great enthusiasm and motivation to produce quality work, I am confident that I will make an efficient and effective editor of any type of content. I will be thorough in executing my editing and proofreading tasks for you, and I assure you that I will be fully collaborative and respectful of your deadlines.

Great communication and the work was undertaken quickly. Great job on the suggested edits. Highly recommended.
A customer · 5.0 · July 2026
This is an excellent editor. Fantastic in communication. Very responsive. If I had known her before, I would have used her to edit the whole book. I unfortunately lined up with the editor who did avoid a job, completely non-responsive despite having bunch of work that she did before with so-called "excellent credibility" I think these are the few people in your team who will keep your stars bright and shining. Thank you, Berna for your excellent work

A customer · 5.0 · July 2025
Berna is a real gem as an editor! She brought a lot of clarity and precision to this project, while keeping the tone of the text intact, which was really important to me. She was very attentive to each and every paragraph. And her comments were really helpful, making the manuscript flawless! What I appreciated most was her attention to detail. It was obvious that she didn't just “edit”, but understood the message of the book and treated it with the same respect and love with which we had created it. I've had other experiences where that doesn't happen. The communication was excellent and his dedication to quality and time was clear from day one. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better partner to finalize this manuscript. Berna, thank you for being so charming and thorough. I am very excited and happy with the end result!

Berna did a FANTASTIC job on my book. It was in good shape to start with because the writer did a great job, but she still found many little style edits and punctuation edits that needed to be made. She took initiative and was on top of the project from start to finish. Her frequent project updates were so helpful to get. Thank you Berna! You'll hear from me again soon!

I hate to give anyone a bad review. For the most part she was good but its an editing job for the most important part of a book that the world will see. And when I'm told the document has been submitted, go to read it, and find there is a whole paragraph of a text message addressed to someone else I cant help but give credit where credit is due. I think this is a learning opportunity to actually proof read your work before submitting for review.
