Hi there! My name is Sophie and I am a skilled editor with a passion for creative communication. With an masters in English, an MBA, and extensive experience in the publishing industry, I have a keen eye for detail and a knack for telling stories that engage and inspire audiences.
My love of language and culture has taken me around the world, from studying different languages and cultures to working with internationally-acclaimed authors. In my free time, I enjoy playing chess and writing poetry.
As a person, I am known for my positive attitude, my ability to work well under pressure, and my dedication to producing work that is of the highest quality.

As an experienced editor with a masters degree in English and 7+ years of experience in publishing: editing, proofreading, and manuscript development, I have had the privilege of working with internationally acclaimed authors such as John Stratton Hawley, Patrick Olivelle, Romila Thapar, and Irfan Habib.
Additionally, I wrote and edited marketing materials and social media content, contributing to the growth and visibility of the company. My passion for the publishing industry is reflected in my attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Interests and hobbies
- Chess: I love to crush my opponents' dreams, one move at a time.
- Art and craft: I spend my free time making Pinterest DIYs and pretending they look just as good as the picture.
- Books: I collect more books than I could ever read in a lifetime and still insist on buying more.
- Yoga and mindfulness: I try to channel my inner Zen but usually end up falling asleep during Shavasana.
- Care for the planet: I'm that annoying person who composts, recycles, and brings their own bags to the grocery store.
- Short story and poetry writing: I like to think of myself as a tortured artist, but really I just enjoy making up ridiculous stories and poems.
