My name is John Simmons and I look forward to helping improve your order!

I have been working as a freelance writer and editor for ten years after receiving a Bachelor's degree in creative writing. I've edited more than 50 orders with The Urban Writers across a variety of non-fiction topics including exercise, diet, cookbooks, self-help, meditation, finance, and investment. I have also edited various types of fiction.

I enjoy editing because it allows me to help others communicate, which I feel is very important. I also like learning new things by taking on editing projects that teach me something new about a subject.

I am very familiar with the guidelines of APA style, so I consider editing to match that style my greatest strength. I've also found images to go with content I published to news websites in the past, which gives me a good eye for what images are appropriate in an order.

I tend to take a straightforward approach to my work. Once I'm assigned a project, I settle in and get the job done. When a writer is involved in the project, I keep them in the loop and give them clear advice about where (and how) improvements can be made.
