Biography
Hi there! My name is Harold Waltberg and I'm a freelance graphic designer with over eight years of industry experience. I've had the opportunity to work with multiple companies across a variety of industries, gaining invaluable insight not only as a freelancer but also into the corporate world.
My passion lies in creating graphic designs for a variety of topics, such as fiction, self-help, health & fitness, DIY and more! I'm able to bring a unique perspective to each project and am highly organized, ensuring that everything is completed on time and to the highest standard.
Whether it's a corporate or freelance project, I'm always looking for ways to push the boundaries of graphic design and create something truly unique. I'm passionate about my work and I'm always on the look-out for new challenges and opportunities to grow my skills.

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
I'm an introvert by nature but I enjoy meeting people and trying new things that make me slightly to moderately nervous. I'm soft and kind-hearted with crackling-dry sense of humour.
How I'd describe my approach to my work
My first priority for any given project would be to collect as much information as I can. I like to start my work with a detailed brief. Once I have a good idea of what the project is about I start doing my research and try to sketch out some ideas to get the creative juices flowing. Once I have a couple of ideas ready I head over to the laptop and start fleshing out my ideas until I have a solid concept that I can refine into a first draft that I can present to the client. After some back and forth I'll adjust the design and incorporate the client's feedback and finally present the client with a final design.
Why should you choose me for your project
My mom always told me that it's good to try new things! A new designer can bring a different perspective to your project and can open your eyes to ideas that you might not have previously considered. I'm organised in my workflow and having many years of experience in the corporate world my communication skills are well rounded and as such I'm comfortable working with clients and listening to any suggestions you might have. I have a passion for my profession and as such I like to keep up to date with all the latest trends and design techniques and I try to incorporate them into my designs where appropriate.

Harold was my second attempt at using a designer for a book cover that was unique and special. Being my first book I was unsure of the process and he was fantastic to work with. I absolutely love the finished cover and it is exactly what I had imagined it should be. He was able to combine different elements and come up with a cover that I know will stand out and give my first book a point of difference. He shows great attention to detail, is not afraid to give his honest opinion and worked hard to make sure I got a cover that I had envisaged. I would be happy to work with Harold again.

1. I was wanting a unique cover, and the ones used are simple stock photo's that really anyone gets access to, which is the reason for the average score in quality of work. 2. Communication took a little longer than it needed to be, even before and after the Christmas period, so average score for this too. 3. I found I was repeating myself for some requests, setting back the schedule, so again average. As I am new to this platform and this my first book, I really did need a professional who could drive this along well, with minimal imput from a person (me) who would never portray to have the skills required for an excellent book cover, which is what I needed, if I am to get a best selling book on page one of Amazon. (I am a professional in the Admin arena, and so know and understand high levels of professionalism). 4. However, he was definitely obliging, helpful where he could be, and very cooperative. I really appreciated this so much. Thank you.

Words cannot adequately describe Harold's outstanding problem-solving skills and creative artwork in creating my first book's cover concepts. He was extremely patient with me as I explained what I had envisioned in concept. Harold came back with a very creative and all-encompassing design, which was gorgeous, but my idea wasn't working. After two more renderings, the artwork was equally beautiful but wasn't quite right for what I was trying to communicate through the cover. I stepped out of the way to allow the expert room to create. Harold created a different approach that nailed all the aspects I wanted in the cover. This final design is stunning, visually engaging, and so very creative. I highly recommend Howard. Harold is a joy to work with and readily communicates throughout the process. Thank you, Harold! I hope to work with you again in the future.

The only bad thing about this was having to choose "the one" between three ALL AMAZING, AWE INSPIRING cover designs that Harold so expertly created.:) Harold was so fantastic to work with. Harold has a gift. The depth in his images and details are amazing. Harold was my second cover designer (My first was not from Urban Writers). I was unsure if my vision could be created.
