Peace be upon you! I'm Âme, complimented as "brutal proofreader," & "one of the best editors on this platform bar none."
Biography
I am a Muslim, a postgraduate in English Literature and Linguistics, and an expert editor. I aspire to become one of the best freelancing writers and editors on this platform. I am an honest, principled, hard-working, punctual, and punctilious person.
Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications
I have a master's degree in English Literature and Language and a silver bachelor's medal. I have been working as a freelance writer for more than five years and have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the freelancing field. Having written multiple academic and term papers as a student and then as a freelancer, I am well-versed in formatting, proofreading, and editing.
Interests and hobbies
I am quite interested in world affairs, politics, the environment, human rights, animal and plant rights, painting, gardening, long walks, the moon, and solitude. I feel most at home amidst mountains and nature. Reading diverse perspectives, aspects, and experiences enthralls and sustains me. As Oscar Wilde said, "With freedom, books, flowers, and the moon, who could not be happy?"
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
I am an introvert, which means I am a loner with a creative mind and rich imagination. I have hereditary OCD, which means I am great at paying attention to minute details, minor imperfections, and hidden "between the lines" flaws.
How I'd describe my approach to my work
My projects are never flawed or untidy. Like everything else in my life, my approach to work is comprehensive, tidy, patterned, and immaculate. I don't expect or accept anything less than that from myself. I work best under pressure, and as an honorable and decent person, I don't exceed my deadlines ever, unless in case of some emergency. Handing me over your project means it is in safe and skilled hands.
Why should you choose me for your project
As I mentioned, my work ethic demands perfection, order, and professionalism. As a perfectionist, my work is never late, untidy, flawed, or anything less than perfect. I try not to exceed deadlines (unless informing the customer first), and I treat others' projects like my own. Proofreading, editing, and perfecting a project is one of the best feelings ever.

Working with Âme has been an exceptional experience. Her patience and understanding throughout the process were invaluable, especially as I navigated unexpected challenges with the platform, not due to the platform itself but rather because of my ongoing brain health issues. She never made me feel rushed or overwhelmed, which I deeply appreciated. What truly stood out was her ability to grasp and enhance the essence of my writing. Âme's insightful edits and attention to detail elevated the final manuscript, ensuring it truly conveyed the messages I wanted to share. She has a remarkable talent for maintaining the writer’s voice while refining and clarifying the content. I highly recommend Âme to anyone looking for a compassionate, skilled, professional editor. Ame was fast, accurate and did a good job. I'm pleased with her work.
A customer · 4.3 · May 2024
I am not able to rate the editor's work really because she said the changes to be made are communicated between the editor and the author, so there is no way to really know what was done unless I do a line-by-line comparison of the entire manuscript. I wanted to say she was a very nice and communicative person with whom to interact. Very pleasant personality.

A customer · 5.0 · December 2023
Ame was very easy to work with. I trusted her guidance. We each made minor suggestions that made the document better. I hope to work with her again on my next book.
A customer · 3.8 · December 2023
I am not sure what the editor actually did. I found a fair amount of spelling and punctuation errors as well as made many changes to the structure of the writting. I would expect this of a strict editing of the manuscript, however, I paid for line editing and this was absolutley NOT worth the money I paid. Based on this, I will be doing my own editing and line editing in the future with Grammerly which is significanly less expensive.
A customer · 5.0 · November 2023
