Biography

Hi! My name is C.E. Williams. I have been editing professionally since 2012.

Editing is my lifelong passion. I aspire to bring out the best potential in every manuscript that I review. This goal has encouraged me to become a better editor every day.

I particularly enjoy editing non-fiction manuscripts. While I am experienced in a plethora of niches, some of my absolute favorites include: History, Science, Technology, Psychology, Anthropology, Travel, Self Help, Business, and Religion.

My niche interests have been influenced by my formal education, as I’ve completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Anthropology from Williams College, with a dual concentration in Science/Technology and Leadership Studies. I’ve also received a business credential from Harvard Business School’s online program, HBX CoRE, in 2015.

For each project, I always aim to achieve a fast turnaround time without compromising on my quality or thoroughness, while using YOUR GOALS as my north star. I take great pride in providing excellent customer service and an impeccable standard of work to make sure you, the customer, are 100% satisfied with the quality of your final manuscript. From fine-tuning grammar and syntax, to improving flow and narrative structure, I will be a reliable and motivated partner who’s committed to your project’s success at every step of the editing process.

Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications

I have been editing since 2012. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College and a Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School’s program, HBX CoRE. I have professional experience as an editor, proofreader, newspaper columnist, academic researcher, customer service specialist, and library assistant.

Interests and hobbies

Editing is a big interest of mine – especially non-fiction manuscripts! My other interests and hobbies include reading, playing tennis, cooking, and traveling as much as I can.
