Biography

I was born in NY where I lived until I was 22. I went to the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English. After I graduated, I traveled to the Czech Republic where I taught English to both the students and some of the teachers in a village by the name of Mnichovice. However, in 2020 I had to move back to the United States due to COVID, where I lived in Florida taking any job I could find. In 2021, I decided to go back to get my Master's Degree and currently reside in Vienna, Austria studying English (ironic isn't it?) where I currently reside, editing the papers of my friends and occasionally doing some translation work from German to English and vice versa.

Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications

I have worked as an editor ever since I was in university from 2015-2018. I interned at two book publishers as an editor in charge of catching mistakes as well as brushing up content during my time at uni. Upon graduating, I accepted a job as an English teacher in the Czech Republic where I worked with both the students and teachers to help them improve their English. Upon returning to the United States I worked for two years as an editor for a company based in Berlin, Germany editing translated documents, manuscripts, essays, and papers for grammatical clarity. Since then, I have helped my friends with their works as I am adaptable to any style that needs to be used for the work.

Interests and hobbies

Learning languages, working out, hiking, reading books, and hanging out with friends.

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences

Stoic and a little reserved upon the first meeting. However, on the inside, I am always ready to have a good time and more easy going than I may let on to be.

How I'd describe my approach to my work

I am a methodical person. If I am given a work to edit, then I will look it over more than once in order to make absolute sure that no grammatical errors remain. If there is something that I do not understand, then I will look it up in order to be absolutely sure that it is what fits. Each paragraph will be individually looked at a couple of times in order to get a sense of flow between them, and once that flow is confirmed, I will then look at it in the broader context of the work as a whole to make sure that it all comes together nicely.

I am efficient, but I will give your project the time it requires.

I am familiar with the AP style, but I also know other styles as well.
I make the necessary edits, but I will never change the style of your work.
