Biography
Hi! I'm A.J., and my life has been dedicated to producing high-quality texts for close to two decades. With a wealth of experience in ghostwriting and 15+ years as an editor, I can safely say that this is my passion.
Even as a child, writing and editing were all I wanted to do. The five-year-old version of me asked Santa for a typewriter hoping that it would help to get the stories out of my head and into the world; sadly, I didn't know that Santa couldn't also gift me with dexterity to type or use white-out to correct my mistakes. Thankfully, as an adult, I now happily write and edit whenever and wherever I can.
Having studied English, Electronic Engineering, Psychology, Accounting, and Food Science through various undergraduate programs, I consider myself a lifelong learner. This is why I particularly love editing educational manuscripts, and I have worked with Taylor & Francis and Bloomsbury college textbooks.
But whether you're writing technical copy or working on your memoir, I'm proud to help authors like you polish their work to its deserved shining glory.
I also love to sew, and I draft my own patterns for everything from curtains to three-piece suits. So, maybe you could say it's the freedom to create something tangible from only a concept that I enjoy.

How I'd describe my approach to my work
I take a deliberate and determined approach to my work. When I begin any project, I like the certainty of knowing that I have a plan to provide the optimal final product. This means that I like to take on one task at a time and see it through in the knowledge that it has the entirety of my attention.
Why should you choose me for your project
I have over 15 years of experience in the publishing industry, having worked first as a ghostwriter before transitioning to the editing side of things. Whether it's an in-depth White Paper to be presented to government and industry leaders or helping an author like you to perfect your fictional world, I love it all. Editing is where I am at my happiest and most productive.
I will be of particular use to you if your manuscript needs a little extra vocabulary finesse or if you need someone to add a human touch to AI texts. I particularly love line editing work, as I feel that this fine-toothed-comb approach more effectively utilizes my skills as both a writer and an editor; my experience across a multitude of genres enables me to effectively clarify the style and tone of any written piece.
