Hello there!

I'm a published journalist, book editor and certified Publishing Specialist. Through freelance and professional opportunities, I have gained ten plus years' experience writing and editing, and have helped tens of books from production to publication. Many are winning awards! Additionally, I've had the honor of establishing great relationships with authors, editors, publishers, marketers and artists all over the world.

Something that fuels my passion for the writing and editing world is a quote by Maya Angelou that says, “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” This so true! Everyone has a story to tell, but few are brave enough to share it with the world. This is why, when it comes to editing and publishing books, one of my goals is to help you follow your dreams. To guide you through the editing process and perfect your manuscript to its best version -- the one it was meant to be.

Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications

I'm an established and experienced book editor with ten years of experience who has worked with a handful of small presses and publishing companies across the United States. In addition, I'm a published journalist and certified Publishing Specialist. While editing, one of the many things I focus on is strengthening the author's voice and making it sure their message comes out clearly, so that they can effectively reach their target readers.

Interests and hobbies

In my spare time, I love to read, edit and write. I also like to bake, listen to music and podcasts, and take my dog for walks around my neighborhood.

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences

I would describe myself as a very positive, friendly person. I'm also responsible to a fault and want others to reach their full potential.

How I'd describe my approach to my work

As an editor, I'm very methodical. I have a great attention to detail, organization, and tone and often read my assignments through multiple times to ensure that I have a clear indication of the author's message. I'm very meticulous with grammatical and mechanical errors. I can stick within a specific word count given, and can use a variety of editing styles.
