Biography

"To choose to write is to reject silence." -Chimamanda Adichie Ngozi

My name is Ohanna Webb and have been passionate about writing from a very young age. In my teenage years, I did not just keep a diary but I was also into writing short fictional drama stories. Those entertained many of my classmates!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences with majors in International Relations, Political Science, and English Language and Literature. It is through these studies where I gained more knowledge and my love for writing was stimulated even further. I have thus acquired a skill for research and versatility in writing. As long as I have done my research, I can produce different pieces of literature and I can take on a variety of topics.

I have mostly used writing as a way of keeping my thoughts which I would later turn into fictional short stories and poems. As a hobby, my writing has been just me throwing ideas then taking my time to put them together. But because of my experience in ghostwriting, I am well groomed in planning- making me a punctual writer.

Because of my schooling, I have been exposed to African Literature and History books. I have read both non-fiction and fiction of these topics. I've also had to do a lot of research on the iGaming industry, that is where the ghostwriting company I previously worked for had most of its clients. My love for cooking has also taken over and I've found myself reading recipe books and food blogs.

Most of my previous jobs, even outside of writing, had been to do with working directly with customers and ensuring their needs are satisfied. I am set on delivering the best finished-product and a flourishing relationship with the client.

Looking forward to a rich and stimulating work environment!

Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications

I have a Bachelor of Social Science Degree with majors: International Relations, Political Sciences, and English Language and Literature. Through my writing skills I have obtained jobs as a Content Writer. I've taken on various projects where I had to be versatile and write projects on iGaming, sport, weddings, and other topics. Outside of writing, most of my previous positions had to do with direct communication with and serving customers. These include positions like Customer Services Agent, Store Assistant and Dining Hall Monitor. I've also had a short career in teaching as an Online English Teacher.

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences

I am a down to earth and very observant person who loves her own company. Though I am an introvert, I do enjoy being with my family, friends and I don't mind going out every now and then.

How I'd describe my approach to my work

After reading client notes and requirements, I like to do a lot of research. I read and watch videos related to the project to enhance my knowledge of the topic. Constant communication with the client is also an important aspect of my working approach as asking questions help me understand the structure and what's needed in each chapter. I write down the number of words in each chapter and how much time I'll spend on them. Once I start writing, I constantly go back to the outline, my sources and the client. I also proofread each chapter after writing it and before moving on to the next.

Why should you choose me for your project

I only pick projects that give me goosebumps. On top of that, I have a lot of writing experience, formal and informal. I can follow instructions very well and I'm a great writer.

A History of Witch Burnings: A Well-Researched Historical Account of Witch Burnings in Europe, America, and Britain

An exceptionally descriptive book about witch-hunting in the medieval time, depicting clear visuals of witch persecution in different regions around the world. More than 200 000 witches were killed between the 1400s and 1700s in Europe, Britain and America. When cattle suddenly died, a woman gave birth to stillborn, and crops withered, people needed an explanation. The use of magic to accomplish these evil acts was the only way to explain these from possibly occurring. This book explores the creation and implementation of laws against witchcraft with the Catholic church being the driv...

What is Overthinking?

What is Overthinking? Have you ever found yourself constantly worrying about an upcoming or past event? These are signs of overthinking. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with having a bit of fear about your upcoming presentation you’ve been planning or your first day on a new job. There’s also nothing wrong about reflecting on these after experiencing them. However, this becomes a problem when you overthink which means thinking too much about things. I’ve always been nervous about public speaking, and at some point in my life, I’d wish that something as horrible as a ...

Men's Mental Health

South African Men and Mental Health: Is it the Root of All Social Problems? Did you know that June is men’s mental health month? Also, every third Sunday of June, various countries around the globe, including South Africa, celebrate Father’s Day. I’m mentioning these because you’ll seldom hear men boast about them. You don’t have to go through the statistics and conduct deep research to know that South Africa is filled with broken men. We’re reminded of it almost every day on the news and social media platforms as reports of child abuse, gender-based violence, rape and other crimes are ...

Ohanna was great from beginning to end, quick to respond to my messages and my revised notes. We had some set backs on the due date but this is life not everything always goes according to plan. She was open and willing to listen to all feedback, sharing hers as well. I would use her in the future for child/parenting writing niche needs

I really enjoyed the storytelling and the use of quotes. She followed the given instructions and completed the work as requested. I particularly liked how she highlighted the quotes and used headings. The repeated quote, 'A queen must fix her own crown' really resonated with me emotionally--and provided smooth transitions. I also appreciated the simplicity of the explanations, which made the content easier to understand and digest for the audience. Great work!
