I'll deliver what you want, when you want it. Your go-to for meticulous work. Research is my middle name.
Biography
"Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale" - Hans Christian Anderson
Words are magical, able to move, shake, inform, educate, and important to me personally - heal and inspire.
I come from a family of skilled storytellers able to have their listeners enthralled and in stitches. It's a verbal skill I never inherited. I'm better suited to pen and paper, or nowadays, fingers on a keyboard.
I was one of the kids who didn't quite fit in at school but I enjoyed learning and my favorite class was English especially when it involved research, essays, or reading. Despite sometimes correcting the teachers' spelling, my essays were often chosen to be read out to the class. It's the one thing I was really good at.
I have a few years (decades) of reading, researching, and writing in the self-help, mystical, banking, media, and health industries. My strong research skills mean that I enjoy writing non-fiction. A fan of self-help and esoteric literature, I have several of these on my shelves and have done quite a bit in those genres.
I'm also a fairly good baker, a pretty decent cook, and an energy healer. I enjoy gardening and being out in nature with my fur-child Dusty. Blessed to live in a warm, sunny area that's a little off the beaten track, I love that I'm surrounded by tall trees, wildlife, and have a lovely beach just a walk away, I'm fortunate enough to have an environment conducive to working without noise or distraction.
The genres I enjoy writing about include:
- Self- Help
- Historical
- True Life
- Mythical
- Cultural
- Spiritual
- Esoteric
- Health and Wellness
- Psychology
- Fun Facts
- Parenting and Family
- Philosophy
- Biographies
- Language
- Humor
- Gardening, especially those related to growing organic foods or urban gardens
- Travel Literature
My favorite author is Dean Koontz and I enjoy James Patterson too. I grew up devouring my mom's collection of Agatha Christie and Frank Yerby novels and reading a book in a day was quite normal. There are far too many books out there to pick favorites but among them would be those I've read several times:
- The Hab Theory by Allan W. Eckert
- The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
- The Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
- Taj by Colin Da Silva
- The Man From Dahomey by Frank Yerby
- Indaba My Children by Credo Mutwa
- The Celestial Prophecy by James Redfield
- Conversations With God by Neale Donald Walsch
Of course, some have inspired me, like Louise Hay and Richard Branson. I love that they write simply, it feels as if they're having a conversation rather than teaching or lecturing.
I believe content should be informative, interesting, and easy to understand and I look forward to providing you with my assistance.
Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications
Thirty-plus years of writing various articles, reports and blogging turned me into the go-to wordsmith wherever I worked. My love for words and writing allows me to express myself or help others get their message across. I favor keeping my work light and informative. My research abilities have been commended by a former ambassador to Belgium and South Africa.
My background includes banking, supply chain, media, information, education, communication and staff management.
My father read to my sister and me every night before bedtime. It was our special time and this is where my love of words began. On the other hand, we were encouraged to sit with those huge tomes of encyclopedia to learn "general knowledge" as my mother put it and because of this, discovering new things has always fascinated me which s probably why I'm thorough in my research.
Interests and hobbies
When my nose is not stuck in a book, I have a myriad of activities to keep me busy. I'm currently learning Spanish and Zulu with a little bit of Hindi, just to change it up a bit.
My feed-the-brain hobbies include puzzles, sudoku, and crosswords.
As an Omnist, I find any religious or cultural discussion fascinating and have actively been involved in Christianity, Islam, Paganism and Wicca.
Creative pursuits like baking and cooking have been a huge part of who I've become and while I'm still getting the hang of my recent efforts to paint and repurpose old items, I'm working on improving in this area.
Meditation and affirmations bring me peace, music brings me the specific energy I seek and I use them both.
I enjoy walking my dogs at the beach and the peace of floating in a swimming pool after a long, hot day. Getting in some laps also helps keep me fit.
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
Others would describe me as a sometimes weird, brutally honest, generally nice person who is down-to-earth and open, warm, friendly, confident, non-judgmental, and pretty much a "what you see is what you get" type person and I have to agree with them even though it does sound quite boring and not quite as adventurous as I would like.
I believe that we all have individual journeys to walk and different lessons to learn so am able to integrate easily with others and enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds, and this outlook allows me the ability to observe without being drawn in to other people's drama.
How I'd describe my approach to my work
To submit a quality end product, I need to understand what's expected of me.
Once I understand my role clearly, I plan my next steps and stick to them as closely as possible. Taking on projects I am confident I can deliver means I don't get easily frazzled and can adapt to change easily.
I believe in communication and if I am unsure of something, I will ask for guidance. It's your book and you know what you want.
Why should you choose me for your project
My goal is to provide you with excellent service. I understand the balance between professionalism and friendliness and as mentioned, I am big on communication and can take direction and apply it.
My aim is to make you happy with the end product. It's partly selfish too because I get immense satisfaction from a job well done.
The bottom line is that I'd like for you to be a return customer.

'Tis the reason to be jolly!
Whatever our religious beliefs, we are inundated with decorations, music, movies, and messages about Christmas. We can’t help but be affected by the festivities. They often bring back memories of family and warmth, sometimes loneliness and fond reminiscing of those crossed over, or perhaps a longing for close ties which we may not have. And we all secretly wish for a Christmas miracle of our very own. Although Christmas has become more about fun, festivities, gift swapping, and feasting than about the birth of Jesus Christ, during this period people tend to be more generous towards each ...
Man. Oh, Menopause
It’s no wonder menopause gets a bad rap. Laughing becomes torture because suddenly you’re prone to peeing yourself when the giggles start. It’s something of a spectacle, watching a grown woman start laughing, then go red in the face, followed by her crossing her legs and dancing a weird jig because the more you try and stop the harder you laugh. When you finally regain some form of control, it’s a hobble to the bathroom, praying that you make it while picturing a trail of droplets following you which cracks you up all over again. Not fun. Yet more changes take place and they creep up on y...
Done to death
Unusual burial rituals. Sky Burials In Tibet and parts of China and Mongolia where Buddhism is practiced, bodies are dismembered, taken to a mountain top or cliff, and left for birds and animals to eat. The remaining bones are then ground up and fed to hawks and crows. It’s seen as a final act of kindness to give sustenance to other creatures on the earth. On a practical note, the ground in these areas is too hard to dig up for burials, and wood is scarce, so a cremation is not viable. Eternal reef burials The ashes of the dead are mixed into a neutral PH-balanced concrete and for...
Lurking In The Dark
Something wakes me, a sound, or a feeling perhaps, I'm not sure. You know, like when you feel a person staring at you and you somehow sense it. I slowly crack my eyes open and see new shapes in the dark. Someone is standing over my bed. Oh, Lord! My mouth goes dry, and my heart beats heavily against my breast feeling like it will burst through! I can’t breathe, can’t move, my mind’s darting in a million directions of non-comprehension. I can hear my heart pound in my head. I can't fathom, can't think. Then a hundred thoughts clamoring all at once and indecision grips me, I’m frozen, do I sc...
A Worldwide Concern
We often automatically associate kidney disease and failure with diabetes which is understandable—diabetes is the leading cause of chronic kidney disease (National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 2017). According to the ISN, (2020), it is estimated that over 850 million people across the world are affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD) in some form. The CDC, (2024) reports that over 35 million US citizens have (CKD). To put in the CDC's figures in perspective, only about 1 in 7, or 14% of Americans are aware that they have (CKD), and only around 1 in 3, or 30% kn...
A New Song
My name is Frankie and I live with my mom, dad, and my little brother, Sammy. I'm a big girl, I'm six years old, but Sammy's still little, he's only four. Sammy is so annoying! He has lots of toys but he always wants to take my toys when I'm playing with them. Today Josh came over to play. Josh is my friend and he is seven. Mom packed us a picnic to take outside. We went outside and sat under a great, big tree. We ate cheese sandwiches and drank juice. Mom packed in my favorite treats for us too which are giant peanut butter and banana cookies! We each got our own. Sammy came out and ...
Magical Todd
I know a young boy who has a favorite toy. His toy is a little odd and the boy named it Todd. It's a magic toy you see. Now what could it be? There's a clue, or maybe two that I have for you. The toy is something fun, it's the color of the sun. You may hold it in your hand but it can also stand. He says a magic word, and when it is heard, the toy gets filled with tea. Oh, what could it be? Perhaps it's a type of jug. Of course! It's a yellow mug!
With Love From Jenny
I woke up so excited this morning. Today is my grandparents' birthdays. It's weird right? They were born in different countries on the same day. They always came to our house for dinner on their birthday and I've been saving some of my allowance to buy gifts for them. The perfect gifts for them were at a little shop right around the corner from my house. Grandpa always complains about us leaving marks on the table where we put our cups and glasses so I think coasters are a good idea. Grandma likes sweet things and a box of yummy chocolates will make her happy. She always shares with grand...

Ula took on a challenging job of completing my document of 30,000 words when the previous writer was not able to complete. She turned the manuscript into a high quality piece of work and enhanced what the previous writer had written in ways I could not dream of.
