My name is Luis, and my hands have been glued to the keyboard for as long as I remember.
Every week, I write a minimum of 5k words, which is only for my personal projects. There are moments where I find myself in a trance as my fingers glide and the words form before me.
Ever since I was a child, my knack for writing was noticed by my teachers. I was taught in AP English and Language (both of which I passed the AP test on) and excelled far past the other students in the class. My educators told me that I must go into writing, and that was where my strengths would fit me best.
However, I rejected this guidance. I was more focused on my acting career and trying to put myself on the stage. However, after taking a dip into Playwriting, I found a way to put myself on the stage without the need to be there physically. Creating stories and worlds became a way to find some peace for me. I was staying up late at night, writing the next great idea.
My writing is not limited to the fiction world of Playwriting. I am experienced in research and developing written content based on that research. The topics I have researched range from the study of Chicanx Film Stereotypes to critiques and reviews of past productions of well-known plays, such as Two Gentlemen of Verona.
