Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications
My main experience with writing is within the online community I have recently been welcomed into. Through sharing my writing with a trusted group of people, my confidence has grown. I have been writing creatively for as long as I can remember and, more so within recent years, have completed a selection of short stories varying in subject that I have been proud to share with the world.
I have a qualification in Social Care. This obviously isn’t an English degree, but it did involve a never ending amount of writing and gave me the opportunity to develop my academic writing skills, as well as my report writing skills.
I also spent many years studying various modern languages at different levels (first year university Spanish, Advanced Higher French, a little bit of Italian and German) which has given me a much deeper understanding of the English language, particularly syntax and grammar rules.
Interests and hobbies
I learned very early on that most of my interests lie with arts and crafts. Knitting; crocheting; pottery — if it can be classed as an art or a craft, I’ve tried it and most likely loved it. Much of my free time is spent reading and writing. I like losing myself in fantasy before returning to the reality of the novel I’ve been painstakingly working on for the last few years. Other than this, my main hobby is driving to pretty places and going on lovely walks — sometimes a jog, not quite a run.
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
the warmth of a midsummer sunset; the passion of the sea on a stormy winter’s night; a kindness that’s often only seen in children, or grandparents. a dreamer with a yearning for knowledge and adventure and, above all, community.
How I'd describe my approach to my work
My approach to work is simple: I strive for perfection and have become a better writer because of it. I am passionate about what I do and I am constantly seeking out opportunities to help me build on my knowledge and further develop my skill set.
Why should you choose me for your project
I believe that there is no better way to learn about the world and to share experiences than through the written word. It is because of this belief that I have become a bit of a perfectionist.
I am goal and detail oriented; I go above and beyond with any task I am given; and I work extremely hard, and also efficiently, to achieve my goals.
I am committed, knowledgeable, and skilled in the English language. I put in the work to ensure that every piece of writing I complete is to the highest possible standard and I understand how vital it is to complete a task within the given timeframe.

And through it all, we found endless moments of joy and laughter, came up with inside jokes that would never be funny to anyone but us, and ate an admirable amount of ice cream. Secrets were shared in the dead of night, an innate understanding passing between us all as we forged bonds and made promises we swore we would take to our graves; stories told that left us gasping for breath and trying to stifle our giggles, like we were a group of thirteen year olds at a slumber party, awake past our bedtime and terrified of waking our parents.

Now, with the cherry blossoms of D.C. miles behind them, the view ahead is made up of trees and fields, newly bloomed flowers breaking up the green with sporadic bursts of colour, the spring sun peeking through the clouds bathing the landscape in a pale yellow glow.
