Biography

The first time I wrote a story, I must have been around 10 years old. I was alone in the house, and it was raining outside when suddenly the power went out. And, I do not know why till this day, but something in me wanted to write a horror story. Maybe it was my grandparent's house that always seemed eerie as the evening rolled in, or it had to do something with watching a lot of horror shows and movies, but that day, I wrote my first horror story.

I do not clearly remember the storyline, but it was about a younger sister, who comes back from the dead to take revenge on her elder sister, who had killed her. And ever since that day, I have been writing. What started as an accident soon turned into a hobby, and now it's my profession.

From writing a sitcom to writing reviews for movies to writing for some of the biggest brands in the world during my tenure as a copywriter, I have delved into all sorts of genres and styles of writing.

Along with these experiences, the experience of writing long essays and research papers, while pursuing my Master's Degree in Media and Communication from The University of Melbourne helped me in honing my skills when it comes to academic writing as well.

I usually write about things that pique my interest, and my interests are as varied as the shows on Netflix. And I like switching between NonFiction and Fiction writing as it helps me maintain the right balance between the two. Some of my favorite niches to write about are:

FICTION:
- Coming of Age
- Paranormal/Supernatural
- Horror/Thriller
- Science-Fiction/Modern Sci-Fi
- Suspense/Mystery

NONFICTION:
- Writing Guides
- Autobiographies/Biographies
- Habit & Goal Development/Achievement
- Self Help

I look forward to bringing into play all my diverse experiences when working on your projects.

Excerpt from a write-up on storytelling

My earliest memories of storytelling take me back to the time when I was a kid, back in my grandparent's house, listening to my grandmother narrate us, me and my cousins, countless stories, when we would visit them every year during the summer holidays. Every night, before all of us went to bed, we would sit around in a circle around her and wait for her to transport us from one world to another. From an evil king, who had a crystal ball that could predict the future, to the haunted house that would catch kids who don't brush their teeth before going to bed, her stories were never the same....
