Biography
My name is Mnqobi Mkhize from the green hills of Eshowe in the province of KwaZulu Natal South Africa. I am currently 35 years old and I hold a certificate in museum studies from the Commonwealth Association of Museums, with five years experience working within a history and heritage environment.
I have always been fixated with three things in my life: Stories that move the very core of society, Justice for all people, and the origins and cultures of all humanity. It is for this reason that I have immersed myself in not only the history of my own people-the Zulu-but also the history of the world as far back as we can record it. I enjoy travelling off the beaten path and just soaking in mother nature, exotic cuisine, quirky fashion, art, getting my hands on any book written by Charles Bukowski, as well as any movie written by Aaron Sorkin.
Professionally I am now looking for ways in which to make my contribution to social justice and the preservation, inclusivity and unbiased interpretations of history, through meaningful storytelling and within the context of the digital age. I am also a scriptwriter and an award winning poet who has dedicated his life to the stories that challenge our minds to really think profoundly about what it really means to be human!
