Biography
My name is Abraham Progeny, and I have been realizing my personal passion for being a writer for over 5 years now.
Having always been a pen enthusiast, you might say that my journey with ink-infatuation began when my 4th grade teacher handed me my ‘pen licence’ – and requested that I please not insist on it any further!
Although later in life I went about obtaining a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, it was not until my time overseas in a small Melanesian nation that I discovered the gift within that had been lying dormant until then – writing!
With little else to do in my time overseas, I discovered my favourite author of all time – Michael O’Brien – and it was his writing that enkindled a flame that would gradually grow into a mature fire throughout the next decade or so.
As a fruit of this experience, I am, and have been for some time now, an avid writer of poetry, having recently self-published my own book of poems. I am also competent when it comes to writing various types of fiction and non-fiction, including:
FICTION
• Fantasy
• Young adult fiction
• Dystopian/Apocalyptic
• Christian fiction
NON-FICTION
• Self-help
• Biographies & Memoirs
• Christian spirituality
Like most writers, I also read regularly and am currently enjoying the exciting process of discovering the likes of Italo Calvino and his books.
It is my sincere hope – and dream – that through my own gift and desire to write authors of all ages and backgrounds alike will take the first tentative steps towards realizing their own goals and path.

Sergei Rachmaninoff
Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff, in my opinion, is one of the most stirring musicians to have contributed to the late-romantic musical scene, and his compositions continue to leave an indelible impression on young musicians and classical music enthusiasts even to this day. In Rachmaninoff’s repertoire of scores, we find a plethora of seemingly unapologetically passionate craftsmanship. Without diminishing the full spectrum of his creativity, his solo piano works as well as his well-known piano concertos alone considered are enough to arouse any listener with their visceral and haun...
The Day We Went Exploring
The year is 1996. The day is cold. Mist hangs ominously in the air. For all onlookers, nothing about the scene would incite the raised eyebrow of misplaced curiosity. Children will be children. “Nothing too serious about a scuffed knee, is there?” But below the canopy, everything imaginable lurks; for the mythical creatures are not bound to niceties. Never having explored the dark forests long gazed at, and never gaining the courage to enquire about the occult from the ‘grown-ups’, my sister, brother and I ventured into unexplored terrain that soon would swallow alive all innocence – ...
Pianist At Dawn
The morning began like any other: the sun rose, the cocks crew, and – well, that would be about all. Given the length of time I had known – and anticipated with sheer force – the arrival of the gift soon to be unveiled, it was something just shy of miraculous that I had behaved myself. Relatively speaking, that is. I knew what I was about to receive, but I did not know what I was about to receive. And that was a fact. My feet tapped impatiently on the linoleum surface of our kitchen, my breakfast looking rather dejected, soggy cereal floating haplessly in a puddle of milk. The mom...
