Biography
Ever since I was a child, I've enjoyed reading and writing. I made this dream a reality when I studied for a BA in Humanities, majoring in political science and psychology, with English and German on the side. Writing every day brought me great joy, and if I could have studied for the rest of my life, I would have!
Following that, I pursued a degree in political science, which I completed with honors. All my studies included endless reading and writing. Several short courses also scratched the itch I had for studying and learning new things.
I currently teach English and regularly hold classes on creative and academic writing. I’m not the kind of person to sell myself, but I believe this experience only adds to my writing projects for TUW. I am prepared to write about most topics because my work is characterized by Diane Duane's quote that says, "Reading one book is like eating one potato chip." I feel that limiting myself to one genre or niche robs me of gaining knowledge and expertise in other fields.
I am an eternal optimist and an exceptionally hard worker. I do an abundance of research when tasked with something new, and nothing feels better when all that research is finally compiled in a beautifully written, well-structured book.
Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications
I completed a BA (Humanities), with my majors being Psychology, Political Science and German. I minored in English, and regularly made the dean's list. Thereafter, I completed a BA Honors (Political Science). My thesis focused on political violence, and I finished this degree cum laude. I have also done a few short courses in my free time, namely: a Program in Public Administration and Management, a course in Labour Relations Management and a course in Financial Performance Measurement and Control.
While I was at university, I conducted many workshops and tutorials for junior students. Regularly, these focused on writing, where I taught students how to write essays effectively. I also have experience teaching English.
Interests and hobbies
My main interests include psychology spirituality, international politics and governance. I regularly watch the news and read up on current events to stay informed. I also have a passion for history and studying the ways in which historical events influence what is currently taking place around the world. I have a history book within arm's reach at all times! Statistics and financial affairs also interest me, and I spend many evenings reading up on statistics of populations or financial markets.
My hobbies include reading and writing. I read at least one book a week, fiction or non-fiction of all topics. Writing is my way of dealing with difficult things in life. I have had diaries since my 11th birthday and have written in one every day since. I've always liked the quote by Voltaire: "Writing is the painting of the voice." I think this perfectly sums up the artistic expression that writing provides.
My other hobbies include traveling, visiting museums, going on hikes and socializing with friends in my free time.
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
I would characterize myself as a friendly, fun-loving person. I am honest, patient and reliable, with a passion for the written word.
How I'd describe my approach to my work
I approach my work methodically. I prefer to write down all the steps I will be taking in order to complete the job. I am resourceful and do as much research as I can when tasked with a project. I look at all the different aspects of the task individually. I am self-motivated and prefer to work on one project at a time, so as to remain committed to the desired outcome of the client. I am positive and welcome constructive criticism, because I know I'm accountable for all the projects I work on. I am reliable and remain in contact with the client if that's their wish. I've been told that time management is one of my strengths, and I work well under pressure. Moreover, I am enthusiastic about every project I accept, and I always remain determined to give the client what they are looking for.

I am a driven and motivated writer with a passion for the English language. In all my years of studying, I was confident in the choice I made to study the arts. I am an individual with a strong sense of accountability for those who entrust me with their writing projects. I know how much a particular manuscript means to the customer and I remain dedicated to make their dream book come true. I enjoy conversing with the client, and I am always committed in following their guidelines. I thrive on constructive criticism and remain dependable throughout. I am a good learner and energetic while working on a particular project.

I would give Jonathan more than 5 stars if I could. This was my first experience with TUW and it certainly will not be my last. This is my second book with Jonathan. He accepted this writing project eventhough military writing is a new niche for him. He characteristically accepted the challenge and completely immersed himself into writing the book. We shared ideas and concepts and grew together as a team. Where to start about extolling Jonathan's excellent attributes? Jonathan is very easy going and is the best communicator thus far in my Urban Writer experience (2 books). Both of my books are history books and Jonathan is a meticulous researcher. The amazing thing is despite the extensive research required, Jonathan is very quick. He looks at my comments and incorporates them into his work or uses these comments to additional flair to his writing. Jonathan wrote two outlines for me as well as one manuscript.
