1. The most important thing is I liked the overall content and the tone of writing. I expressed this many times. 2. I feel she underestimated the time needed to write the book. It is fairly detailed content. 3. Related to #2, even if she originally underestimated the writing window, she definitely underestimated how much additional time was needed. If instead of requesting an extension of 2-3 weeks (underpromising), I had to give 5 extensions, which turned into 7. 4. I was slightly disappointed in the number of corrections I had to make in my reviews and even after I downloaded the Word version, Word didn't like the structure of many phrases and I had to spend several more hours, at the last minute, making the manuscript conform to Word. Maybe something was altered in the conversion from the Dibbly platform to Word or whatever, but I was frustrated. I ended up reviewing the entire book about 4 times. 5. Despite all of these items, when the book was delivered about 3k words short and I could have gotten a credit, I gave it to her, because I had a pending job change and wouldn't have been able to tip.

Did not have a great experience with Rachel. When first working with Rachel, her status showed she was available to start work immediately, but then after accepting the job she wasn't able to start working on my book for two weeks:( This was the beginning of our journey together, and it started on the wrong foot. Rachel finished the first draft of the book about one week longer initially expected -- which isn't too bad, but now we're up to three weeks of extra time (including the late start). Once I submitted all revision requests, it was about another 3 weeks before the final draft was done. This was my first book with TUW, it was a financial book which costs me about double the price of the other book subjects. However it seems like the price I paid did not match the quality of product. I am not going to go into the actual writing process as it was quite frustrating at times, and eventually I was just ready for the book to be done, as I realized much of the book needs to be rewritten. I learned a lot through this process, and my next book will be even better because of it.
