Biography
I have loved writing since I was little. I wrote in my journal constantly and my favorite activity in school was warm ups in English class. Our teacher would give us a prompt that we had to write about for 10-15 minutes. Most students wrote a couple of sentences, but I wrote pages in those 10 minutes.
Writing, for me, is like growing flowers. I like to start with a prompt or an idea, and nurture it, water it, devote my energy and love to it and in the end a beautiful bud starts to pop open. My creativity flows when I’m given a prompt, a vision to work off of. I turned handwriting into beautiful words during those high school English class warm ups.
It’s no wonder that I am also an avid reader. I always have a paperback in my purse. I prefer to flip through pages rather than distract myself with games and apps on my phone if I’m ever waiting for an appointment or have a few free minutes. I devour romance, fiction, murder mystery, suspense and psychological thriller novels. With each book I read, I learn just a little more on how to construct a story, how to develop characters, build suspense and develop plot.
During my college career, I studied psychology and had an opportunity to take several sociology classes. This was a fantastic platform to learn more about how people behave and react to different things. The knowledge I learned from these classes helps me keep perspective in my writing and gives me the ability to develop characters from all walks of life.
Take a chance on me to nurture and grow your seeds of ideas into a breathtaking garden. I can’t wait to make them grow!

Bessy
The sky was ominous. It cast a dark shadow on my wall and I could feel the thunder lurking in the distance. I never liked storms. They put me on edge. I always wondered if a tornado would touch ground and we would have to run for our lives or find a new place to live. I pushed those thoughts to the back of my mind and focused on the delicious scent that was tantalizing my nostrils. The scent was coming from the kitchen in the other room. It was calling my name, beckoning me to follow it and find the culprit. I stretched my arms high above my head and let out a big yawn. I tossed my blue ...
The Salesman
I fumbled the match book in my hands. Excitement and endorphins ran through my skin, flushing my face the slightest shade of pink. I hadn’t intended to come to poker night to meet anyone. In Fact, my girlfriend and I would go just to have girl time. Of course we never minded catching glances or batting off the occasional cheesy pick up line. I mean why else would we go to the charity poker night at the bowling alley? That place crawled with guys desperate for female attention. We liked to feel special; throw the regulars off their game. They could never read us, they were so shocked that wo...
The Spiral Stairs
Julia decided that this was the year it would all be different. She was tired of not having friends, being made fun of for being the new kid. The negative connotation of that word rang through her head like the nearby church bell. New kid, new kid, new kid. Each ring made her temples pulsate in agony. There was so much pressure to be a new kid. Knowing what groups to hang out with, which teachers to hate in unity, what to wear, what to eat, where to hang out. The list was endless and filled Julia up to her eyeballs in worry. She felt like she could explode trying to keep it all straight, tr...
