Biography
Jayira has spent most of her after-university life in the world of words. She jumped into the newsroom straight out of college, and onto a more comprehensive platform of working on magazines and books. She realized meeting deadlines, content verification, research, and ensuring a quality product were essential in both spaces. It’s been 10 years. Is it worth it? Sure. Values such as commitment, hard work, and teamwork, among others, have come in handy. Passion for writing gives Jayira the freedom to express herself through humor, suspense, creativity, and drama. She has always loved reading captivating stories, which inspired her to start writing. While she is flexible, she is mainly interested in health, political, religious, and human stories on topics such as relationships, parenting, wholeness, and nutrition. When not typing away, she will grab a copy of the latest magazine or newspaper for that story begging to be read, or pick that anthology from the shelf. Better still, she will listen to that inspirational song over and over, and later try playing the tune with a guitar to wind down the day.

I have a decade-long experience in writing and editing with the print media. I have worked with several publication houses as well as individuals to produce newspapers, magazines, and books. This has been possible due to skills I attained while pursuing a degree in journalism and communication.

I love music, and particularly I like playing the guitar.
I also like reading personal interest stories and catching up on a great movie.
