Biography
Hi. I completed my degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering to please my parents, and I am a former banker who realized that the profession was not suited to my introverted nature. However, all these experiences have shaped my outlook on the world. After going through a transformative journey, I completed an online course on "Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" by Google and started working as an intern in the field.
Writing entered my life at a time when I was struggling with my identity and looking for an escape. I fell in love with the writing styles of R.K. Narayan and P.G. Wodehouse. I admired how they made the mundane seem interesting. Writing helps me see the whimsicality of everyday life.
Later in life, I developed a taste for nonfiction. My favorite non-fiction book is "Think Like a Freak." I am a curious person, always open to learning whatever life has to teach me.
Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications
Hello. I hold an engineering degree in electronics and telecommunication and a postgraduate diploma in business management focusing on finance and marketing. While these pursuits may seem diverse to keen eyes, the experiences they provided were integral to my journey and helped shape my outlook on the world. I pursued engineering to please my parents and chose finance because the investment bankers in the movies I watched made it seem very interesting. I was naive, and, to be honest, while I have learned a lot in the past few years, I am still learning, and I don't think that will ever end for me.
Before turning to writing, I worked in various roles, including cashier, investment specialist, relationship manager at mortgage houses, and visiting door-to door to channel funds for charity houses. Although these roles offered tremendous learning opportunities and exposure, the demands eventually drained me. The combined pressures of work, personal life, and commuting took a toll on my mental health. The commute was especially stressful as I later discovered that I am misophonic. I am highly sensitive to sounds, and constant exposure to blaring horns often triggered a fight-or-flight response in me, quite literally.
The burnout I experienced in those years eventually developed into Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). The diagnosis served as a wake-up call, forcing me to assess my life and make necessary changes. I began reevaluating everything and soon learned that rumination worsens depression. I started a form of self-administered Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and applied it through affirmations. That's when my journey to self-discovery and healing began. I have come a long way since then, and remarkably, without medication. Additionally, the diagnosis eliminated my fear of uncertainty. Now, I no longer fear the worst, as it had already happened.
Writing came to my aid when I was struggling with my identity in college and later when I was trying to make sense of my life again. The first time I was truly enchanted by writing was when I read R.K. Narayan and P.G. Wodehouse. I loved how they could make the mundane seem whimsical, and this profoundly affected my perception as well.
I realized I needed to change my life and recalled how much I enjoyed writing. This time, I decided to chase the dream again. I had tried it before, but I was too scared to fully commit because I was living independently and had to pay my bills. However, the fear of piling bills didn't deter me this time. Perhaps it was this courage that worked its magic, and here I am. Writing has consistently contributed to my healing; I can never overstate its importance. It provides me with clarity, which is something that doesn't come readily to me amid my racing thoughts and the demands of everyday life.
Interests and hobbies
I like singing, but I never pursued it seriously. I love watching movies with my family. Amélie (no, I don't speak French), Kikujiro (neither Japanese), and Joker (I found Joaquin's dance sequence exhilarating, and the scene where he draws his smile with his blood gives me goosebumps), among many others, are my favorites. I like reading about finance and economics whenever I get the chance. However, these days, I am spending most of my time updating my knowledge on Digital Marketing and watching "The Good Doctor" and "Malgudi Days". I was looking forward to Tim Burton's take on my favorite American family, the Addams, in "Wednesday." However, I didn't find it worth my anticipation.
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
I am an eternally curious person who doesn't rest easy until she finds solutions to her problems. I have a technically oriented mind, and to satisfy my curiosity, I like to update myself with knowledge of the discipline that has piqued my curiosity for the moment.
How I'd describe my approach to my work
As I see my work as a means to better myself, I give it my undivided attention and work relentlessly until I am satisfied with the end result.
When it comes to working, I am very organized. While tackling complex subjects, I break them down into smaller topics that can be easily understood, and then compile everything in the end. Of course, while doing it, I make sure that I keep the readers engaged throughout.
Why should you choose me for your project
I do well with research and subject comprehension. I'll admit that I'm not very good at chemistry, but aside from that, I can understand any topic you throw at me and will do a decent job at demystifying it and making it entertaining. I'm sure of that since recently, two nine-year-old children liked me because of the way I tutored them.:)

Getting Started With Minimalism
A few days ago, I watched an online video about a woman who lived in a mud house. She lacked electricity, proper clothing, a sturdy roof, a reliable water supply, and family. Her few possessions included several books she read repeatedly, enough to survive without much struggle. The concept was intriguing. Yet, I couldn't help but notice her gloominess. Despite owning little, she wasn’t ecstatic; her expressions showed detachment and a lack of joy. After watching the documentary, I continued to ponder the value of such a detached life. As human beings, we are meant to experience a full r...
The History of Fintech
I was surprised that I could have the loan amount credited to my account within minutes if I accepted the offer. I did, and the money was transferred within seconds. What amused me further was the absence of any need to submit documents. All that was required was to enter a verification code sent to my registered mobile number. Today’s fintech companies can assess the loan eligibility of individuals or businesses by evaluating their financial behavior and past payment history. According to a paper by Arneris, Barberis, & Ross, the history of fintech dates back to 1886 when banks used tel...
Introduction to BRRRR Method of Investment
Although the returns generated by real estate investments are incomparable, the timing and right strategy of investments plays a crucial role. The BRRRR (Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat) method is based on investing in distressed properties and employing cash-out refinancing to fund more investments. The BRRRR Method enables investors to purchase homes at a cheaper cost than they would with a traditional investing plan by concentrating on buying distressed properties. Investors with limited resources who wish to amass a rental property portfolio find this strategy especially appeali...
Healing of Inner Child
The concept of the inner child denotes a section of our psyche where we store memories of our emotional experiences during childhood, often residing in the subconscious and outside the realm of our waking consciousness. Furthermore, the inner child encompasses other aspects, including the playful, spontaneous, child-like, innocent, curious, and wonder-filled side that remains concealed within us. It also contains a repository of unresolved emotional memories and patterns related to satisfying our childhood needs. The process of healing the inner child involves developing a connection wit...

This is the second outline that Kamakshi Samarth has written for me and I was equally blown away by both. The first one I chose to pause before turning it into a book, but I hope she will write it when the time is right. This second one she is writing and I am so excited to see it come more to life. She is kind and brilliant and is using a lighthearted, detailed tone--which is just what this project needs.
