Before we began the project together, I informed her I needed the entire manuscript to be human-written. She assured me that she would create it herself. During the writing process, I noticed that there were many passages that looked like they had been written using AI. I confronted her again. After the second time, I checked it through the Grammarly and Plagiarism search platforms, and both flagged the content as AI-generated. I notified the freelancer a third. She denied using AI content. I notified customer service. They investigated and agreed with me. The freelancer ended up rewriting the manuscript. The new one looked like she had used several of the same AI-generated passages as the previous one, using poor writing in between to bypass the appearance of the AI. I am disappointed with the quality of her work.
