Horror writer ready to scare the masses! Mon.-Fri. 8:00 am - 6:00 pm CST
Biography
I am a lover of all things spooky, dark, and ominous. My preferred genre is supernatural horror, but I'm also well-versed in fantasy and sci-fi.
When not writing, you can find me reading (of course), playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, playing Minecraft, making something tasty in the kitchen, or trying not to kill my herb garden.
My favorite authors include:
Stephen King
Anne McCaffrey
Shirley Jackson
Joe Hill
Neil Gaiman
Edgar Allan Poe
Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley
Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications
I have a BFA in creative writing, plus several published short stories online. I also have experience transcribing and editing oral histories, writing and reviewing legal declarations, proofreading and formatting printed books, and blogging. Though I prefer to write fiction, I can adapt my writing style to whatever the situation requires.
Interests and hobbies
Whether it's for a Dungeons and Dragons campaign or playing around in Minecraft, I love world-building. I love all things spooky and witchy, and I enjoy concocting mystical creations in the kitchen (mostly just bread and cookies) and tending to my herb garden which I frequently struggle to keep alive.
Music, especially metal, is among my passions, and I'm the type of witchy woman who sages her house with Iron Maiden playing in the background.
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
For the most part, I tend to be fairly reserved; I'm not one for idle chit-chat, so I don't speak unless I have something of substance to say. Good luck shutting me up when I get on a rant though!:D
How I'd describe my approach to my work
I like to think of my work style as organized chaos. There is method to my madness, as Shakespeare would say, which I consider more as a guide when I'm stuck or lost than an SOP set in stone. Generally, I follow a typical workflow for most writers: brainstorming and outlining if an outline is not already provided, first draft, revision, then editing and proofreading.
Why should you choose me for your project
I consider myself more of an artist than just a writer. Writing isn't just a skill, it's a craft, and I'm always honing it and experimenting with it. If you choose me for your project, I will treat it with the utmost respect, doing only what's best for the story and your vision.

Headlights
Headlights flashed in the rear view mirror. “Go around, jack ass,” Prue muttered. She depressed the accelerator anyway, but didn’t go more than five miles over the posted speed limit. It was one thing to go speeding around in her own home town, where she knew the roads and the cops’ favorite hang outs, but she was a long way from home and wasn’t entirely sure where she was going. Prue really hated driving at night. A lot of her friends preferred it, saying there wasn’t as much traffic and that it felt absolutely wonderful to let the top down and enjoy the night wind. That was all well an...
How to Catch a Vampire
Ian sighed as he pulled up to the scene. Layla was already there, snapping away with her camera. Ian had no idea how she’d got there so fast. He’d only just got the call five minutes ago, and she didn’t even have a car. There had been another killing, and it was obviously a vampiric one. It was the third one that month, in the same section of the city. This one was found in front of the local shopping club, which, if Ian’s calculations were correct, was at the center of where the killings had been taking place. The body, apparently one of the managers come early, lay on the gr...
Abducted by Stars
"Be safe, kids!" the woman at the picnic table called, and the swing slowed its twirling and slowly lowered, gravity gradually taking back control. The boy laughed again, shouting, "We're being good!" and raced to join the couple, his parents. Asta didn't want to stop, but the swing wasn't as fun without her playmate. As she lowered her feet to catch the ground, the sky darkened. No, no, no, not again. Tall, dark figures surrounded the happy family, and as Asta ran away, all she could hear was the mother's horrified screaming. A scream of her own bubbled in her throat, and Asta bo...
All to Yourself
You were sitting on the roof when the newcomers showed up. It was your turn to take watch, so your shotgun was sitting across your lap, legs dangling over the edge. You looked out over the cracked parking lot surrounding the building. Nothing ever happened while you were up there, but you enjoyed it. Occasionally, you’d take a shot at a corpse wandering by. It was the only time you had to get away from the rest of your group. The kids—two six year-old girls—despite your best efforts decided you were their favorite person, and tended to follow you around. Their parents saw you as t...
