Biography
Writing has been Alexa's passion since she was 9 and realised that it could be a career. When she was 15 she realised she had a talent for it and spent the next few decades honing the skill. Even at university she tailored her studies to include subjects that would help her understand people, cultures and language and in turn improve her writing.
Alexa cares for her father who suffers from Dementia, and is the loving "humom" to a mixed breed pup who needed a safe home. She has lived with depression and anxiety and is passionate about finding ways to help others through their struggles with keeping up good mental health.
Alexa loves reading, it's not a hobby for her, it's as essential an act as breathing. She has a fondness for romance novels but would read anything she could get her hands on. Libraries are her happy place.

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
I'm funny (often in a dark way) and I am utterly fascinated by why people do what they do, which is why language and communication became my passion. I seek to understand everything which is why I love learning new things.
How I'd describe my approach to my work
I'm a perfectionist (its both a blessing and a curse. I want always want to meet my objectives in the best way possible even if that means scrapping large portions of my work. I'm also detail oriented and love structure and efficiency.
Why should you choose me for your project
According my Myers-Briggs Test result, I find it natural and easy to communicate with others, and instinctively
know how to capture an audience and pick up on mood and motivation in ways that allow me to communicate with reason,
emotion, passion, restraint – whatever the situation calls for. I can shift my tone and manner to reflect the needs of my audience, while maintaining my own voice.

Life as an adult
If you’re anything like me, you might feel like this whole adulting thing is a rip-off. When I was a kid, they told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up and then they were surprised that I wanted to grow up quickly. I wonder whether I would have been in such a hurry if I knew that, in my 30s, my body would begin behaving like sleep was an extreme sport complete with injuries, and that “anything I wanted” would translate into being overweight, overwhelmed, underpaid and generally under-appreciated with all its attendant frustrations and bitterness.
