Biography

Introduced to the world of books at the age of 7 by my father, my love affair with the printed word has continued. Over the years reading has not only enriched my mind but also my vocabulary. I did my graduation in Business Studies and then started my own business. I traveled the world on work and did what I wanted to do. meet various people with different cultures. At the end of the day, I realized that people were essentially alike. Their problems were similar. Reading about myths and stories from other lands, gave me a window into the soul of nations. This has influenced my writing. I have been consistently writing on and off since my school days. Articles for the school magazine, youth magazines, and so on. Sadly the internet killed off the youth magazines. I am still busy reading and writing. My other passions - are painting and music. I

Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications

I did my schooling at Collegiate School in Kolkata and passed my Cambridge Examination. I also did my graduation with Honours from the same institution. I graduated with Honours in Commerce. I am presently starting an online course on UX organized by Wharton College.

Interests and hobbies

My primary interest is reading, and I am what Might be called a 'Bookworm'. I have a personal library of over a thousand books on a variety of subjects which include philosophy, literature, the occult, and psychology among others. I am also an amateur painter. Music is my other love. I am passionate about music, both western and eastern. Cricket and football are my sports interests.

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences

Extrovert and fun-loving, always yearning for a good chat! Curios and probing mind, I am always on the lookout for a mystery of some sort.

How I'd describe my approach to my work

When I read or write I lose everything around me and am almost in another dimension, coming back momentarily to grab a cup of coffee or a cigarette. I have the ability to be completely absorbed in my work to the exclusion of everything else.

Why should you choose me for your project

Well, you are looking for great writers! I consider that I write quite well and have the ability to put ideas into words in a cohesive and interesting manner. Reading is what helps with an active and fertile imagination - and I am an avid reader.
