Interests and hobbies
My hobbies are similar to my career. I'm a novelist, editor, and graphic designer. These skills allow me to create beautiful pieces of art with the written word and color. Living in the northern wilderness, I draw inspiration from the environment around me. The mountains, forests, and wildlife supply me with an endless number of ideas, as well as a much-needed breath of fresh air.
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
I am an artistic soul who longs to read, paint, and garden every moment of the day. However, my family is always prioritized before my interests—my husband and animal companions are the light of my life.
How I'd describe my approach to my work
I am a creative person, but that doesn't mean that I drift through life with my head in the clouds. The seriousness of my job motivates me to achieve goals so that my clients can prosper.
Why should you choose me for your project
The main trait to look for in a writer, editor, and graphic designer is passion. Experience comes with time and niches come and go. If you want your project done well, then you need to place it in the hands of someone who cares. This isn't just a job to me, it's my life. If you decide to trust me with your project, you'll receive a masterpiece in exchange.

My wings numbed as I fell. The more I struggled to use them, the less movement I had. I could only clutch my wound, accepting that I no longer had control—of anything. The icy breeze glided between my charcoal-grey feathers, freezing them until they snapped against the racing wind. I faced upward, toward the ether… toward the home I longed for. My speed quickened as the ground closed in. Breathing became difficult. Blood leaked from beneath my firm hand, and I cursed the weapon that did this to me. My brethren would not listen—would not think. The war we fought was pointless. And here I...

The rancher placed the silver in my hands, knowing that my word alone was enough. A mountain cat had been terrorizing his livestock for weeks and slinked into the mountains before he had a chance to bring it down. With the cold season upon us, the rancher couldn’t risk it coming back for more. That’s where I came in. Mounting the old appaloosa, I nudged her toward the setting sun. The mountain range blackened as the hours passed, and the horse was not the only one struggling with aching bones. My body had been through hell in the sixty-five years prior, but still, the need to hunt b...

The gallows stood tall in the middle of the square. Its wood soaked in the falling sunlight, bathing in God’s glory. That seemed to be what the bystanders saw, too, as they flocked around the monstrous structure. The screams of the convicted rang in my ears—a beautiful song. The man struggled against his bindings, but they were too tight, and he was too weak to fight against fate. I’d watched this ritual many times before, but I still gazed at the condemned, fascinated. Some men were silent as their throats brushed against the coarse thread, though these were few. Others soiled ...

The face of the data miner flashed across my screen. If he’d been smart, the man would have retreated from the system when my digital predators began snapping at his heels an hour ago. However, the low-class Digger was desperate for coppers, and there was no other way to obtain quality coins without delving deep into Technohaven’s system. The man’s name was James. He didn’t have a surname, since he’d been born a Tosser. It was rare to find Tossers who’d managed to climb their way up into the Diggers' world—he should have been satisfied where he was. On the screen, a policeman unlocked...

Fiona walked down the misty shoreline. It was just before dawn, and she had been wandering the village of Portree since the previous evening. The town was small, yet she saw something new every night—not new people, as there were never new people. But they were always doing new things. Creating new secrets. The small-town folk were simple, as she had come to know in the past few centuries of her life, but Portree was something special. The beach rocks sounded behind her. She turned, ready to disappear at the first sign of danger, knowing that witches were not accepted among huma...

Darcy focused on the heavy steps in the trees. Something was stalking her. Every instinct she had told her to stay silent, but that just wasn’t the wolf-witch’s style. “Is anyone there?” Silence. “Answer me,” Darcy demanded with shaking hands. Her eyes had turned into a molten gold, revealing the wolf inside her. The treading stopped. Just as Darcy was going to take a step, the heavy strides began again, but this time, they were running. Darcy prepared for an attack, tensing, but she quickly realized that whatever was following her had run the other way. “Hey! Stop!” she yelled,...

“Who are we hiding from?” Cole released my hand and stood. “Elves.” “Your kind? Why?” I asked as I peered into the darkness. The elf sent me an incredulous expression. “Oh, they’re the same ones.” The same ones who hated him. “There are only a few elf clans and mine is the largest. They are between us and the stones.” He began pacing and said, “I was banished, Yvaine. If they find us, there won’t be a happy welcome. They’ll kill me and…” He looked to Lugh. My brother’s body was too still. I watched for several seconds, waiting for his chest to rise. When it finally did, I a...

I woke to intense pain. My eyes opened only to be scratched by sand. I breathed in and found no air. I twisted in the water, but I was buried underneath rock and debris. The pain increased as I moved. I needed air. I let out a groan as I lifted myself, and the weight tumbled down to the pond floor. I swam for the surface, and when I broke it the night air bit my skin. I shuddered, releasing the water trapped in my chest. The crisp air only added to the raw pain as I breathed in an out. Swimming for shore, I realized why the pain in my back still lingered. I dragged myself up and over the...

I awoke to the cold. Not an unpleasant cold, but a refreshing chill that roused one’s mind from a deep slumber. That was exactly what it felt like, too, as if I were waking from a dream. However, the dream didn’t feel like a way to occupy my mind while I rested, but rather a way to revisit old memories, both the good and the bad ones. The memories drifted from my mind, as well as the chill, and were replaced by a bitter yet satisfied emotion. Only this emotion remained following the ancient remembrances. I couldn’t recall any one thing anymore. Just a chaos of emotions ending in bittersweet...

The boat swayed beneath me. It had been a long journey across the ocean, but one worth making. Plague had infected our lands, leaving the survivors alone with their grief. And I, especially, had needed to flee. To run away from what I had lost. The passengers kept their most treasured possessions below deck—the first human items to cross into the new world. I ran my hand over the tops of coffers and along soft linens, exploring every inch of the ship to distract myself from my racing thoughts. Then I saw it—a harp. It was old and roughly treated, but it was beautiful just the same. My m...

Amazing writer and a pleasure to work with. I quickly scheduled the sequel book with Samantha. Samantha was able to take my plot driven outline and expand on the world and characters in a way that made the story flourish and cause me to become more and more excited about the idea. She would present her ideas for the story for me to approve or deny and those ideas would make me think of something to build on it or consider a better plot point. This was the best collaboration I have ever experienced. I highly recommend Samantha for this genre.

What a joy to work withy Samantha. So talented, kind and patient. I could not be happier with the writer I chose and I will continue to choose her every time! Can't say enough good things about her. Professional, writes very fast and beautifully, is super kind and well mannered, takes guidelines very gracefully and it's quick to get the exact idea of what you want for your story!
