Biography

Hi, my name is Hollis Brown.

I've been in love with reading and writing for as long as I can remember. I love getting lost in a story, following the author's perception of the world and to be left with a sense of wonder.

I love writing in every form: from a novel to an essay, from a news article to a shopping list. I try to incorporate everything I read to my writing arsenal, I try to be as broad as possible with my reach, I would want everyone to understand what I'm trying to communicate.

I also love music, football, cooking and travelling. I believe the most interesting writer is he who has something to tell the world. Experiences give us a new way of looking at the world, a new edge to expand our minds and further our understanding of life and its secrets.

A Stoic Life

What is truth? asked Johnny Cash to Nixon in the White House in the middle of the Vietnam War. Truth, for our purposes, can’t be understood without our mind for reason, that lighthouse constantly showing us the way forward. There is no truth if it does not emanate from our reason. The absolute truths we hold will always be an interpretation of the reason we have, of the harmony of our mind and our nature. This nature we have, is the ecosystem for this truth.
