I was hoping for more expertise. The writer is under the premium category and had so many mistakes from basic grammar to mixing first, second and third person. He was quick and eager to help so in the end I think I got a good result but not what I was hoping for. The last problem is that I had no idea he was supposed to add the illustrations in the manuscript. I mentioned working with the illustrator a few times, requested information on poses so that she could work on them, and he never requested the illustrations to blend them with the book. Apparently now I have to figure out how to do it on my own. I selected UW over other sites because of the quality of the people but this process has taken way longer than anticipated and with a few surprises in the process. I don’t think I’ll work with him again.
