What's up! I'm Avan, a born and raised bookworm and creative writer.
I've always had a burning passion for writing, starting in my early years of primary school writing mostly fan-fic for fun with friends. This barely part-time hobby eventually graduated to a lifelong ambition, through reading countless books as a child through to the present day, I still find myself adoring the act of getting lost in a good book and seeing characters develop.
Throughout my academic life, my teachers and tutors have praised my ability to create compelling stories, though this praise didn't motivate me nearly as much as the act of writing did. I find nothing more satisfying than developing a story, seeing the plot develop as I put thoughts into text. It's magical.
I'd consider myself a creative person, though I don't mean to brag! I've been studying and practicing arts since I was a child, it's just what I grew up doing. Drawing, writing, creating poetry (though poetry certainly isn't my strong point), playing music, and making cringe-inducing home movies with my friends. Hell on the weekends I play in a band, I'm pretty good on the bass. Though I'd consider each of these enjoyable hobbies, none of them bring me nearly as much enjoyment as writing. My main passion is fiction, the ability to create characters that I find inspirational -or evil- is incredible. Though I also thoroughly enjoy researching topics and writing non-fiction works too!
