Hello! Welcome to my profile!

Biography

Hello! Thank you for checking out my profile! I am a university student majoring in Human Justice with a minor in Film. I'm 23 years young, and I also work in the fashion industry as a model and as a model scout. I also enjoy writing, and write a lot of poetry/prose in my free time. I'm also a huge nerd and love writing essays, as well as the process of researching the topics provided, which is why I've joined this platform. After I have finished my Bachelor's degree I plan to go to law school and specialise in entertainment law, hopefully eventually moving to somewhere warmer than my current place of residence in Canada.

I love writing because it gives me a place to put down my thoughts, or to have them in front of me so I can read it back to myself and fully understand what it is I'm trying to describe. I love academic writing because it's so mind expansive and I do genuinely learn a lot during the process of it. The sound of the keyboard as I type is also really satisfying:). The genres I enjoy writing about the most are true crime, theoretical papers, sociology, philosophy, religion, and film essays. As well as poetry and prose, as previously mentioned. I also enjoy reading in my free time, most of the time it's also poetry, autobiographies of people I think have a cool story, sociology, and some non-fiction depending on the genre. I like stories that highlight "human-ness" more than anything, which is also why I tend to lean more towards fiction. I like that it's a real experience, it makes me question and want to study human behaviour.

Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications

My previous experience in regards to writing stems from my initial interest in poetry that I took when I was 18. My first book I had purchased was Trista Mateer, and I began to write poetry for fun as a way of coping through the many life changes I had been experiencing at the time. After a few years, I began to discover my writing abilities also extended into non-fiction and therefore, often have done quite well on my papers in university. My average score on essays is between 80-90%. My major in university is Human Justice, I hope to eventually become an entertainment lawyer and therefore, also have a minor in Film. I have previous experience as well with research specifically, as I also was on my university's Student Legal Advocacy Centre team.

Interests and hobbies

I have an interest in poetry, as mentioned, but I also enjoy all kinds of arts. I love film and cinema, and the study of it. I think that the way everything is so intricatly planned in each movie- even each scene- is really cool. I also enjoy painting in my free time and listening to different kinds of music. I also act, model, and I play guitar.

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences

My personality can be described as straightforward and bold. I am very kind and very honest.

How I'd describe my approach to my work

I enjoy mapping out all of the relevant details on a physical sheet of paper prior to starting my first draft. Usually this includes all of the known topics I'll be conducting researching and then writing about later. I'll gather about 3-5 relevant points and then note how it ties into my main point (thesis statement) before moving on to the next. After all the points are mapped out and I can visibly identify why certain pieces of information are relevant, I then begin the first draft. Once I've edited it and I'm satisfied I'll then go in and add my citations and format the paper prior to submitting.

Why should you choose me for your project

I am extremely detail-orientated. I pay attention to everything. As well, writing is something I genuinely enjoy doing! So once I get a project, or a paper if it's for university, I go all in on it. I can also type very fast and have been known to finish 10000 word essays in a day. I could likely do 25000-30000 word projects in 3-4 days.

Studying Bryan Kohberger

While law enforcement is still performing their digital investigation into Bryan Kohberger and the likelihood of him being guilty (despite openly bragging about it behind bars), there is evidence of him suffering from mental ailments since his early teenage years on one particular online forum, Tapatalk, where he described his experience with Visual Snow Syndrome (VS). Having been a PhD student of criminology at Washington State University, and achieving Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Criminal Justice from DeSales College in Pennsylvania as well, Kohberger also had a Reddit account on w...

Study of "Karma" by Do Ho Suh

For this reason, upon first viewing this sculpture I thought this could be a commentary on unequal power structures within society- potentially big companies vs. the consumers, or the government vs. the people. However, taking into the fact that this sculpture is so ominous for the reasons listed above, and the name being “Karma,” I believe that this sculpture is actually a commentary on the inevitability of karma. If you’re familiar with the concept, karma means that whatever you put out into the world you’ll get back. In some belief systems, such as Wiccanism, there’s also a theory that t...

The Purpose of Sentencing as Outlined by the Canadian Judicial System

Regarding the Common Law, there have been multiple amendments made to the Act. These amendments added sections 718.01, 718.02, 718.03 and 718.04, in order to further outline that in specific circumstances, the objectives of denunciation and deterrence are primary considerations. Circumstances include: offences against children, offences against peace officers or other justice system participants, offences against law enforcement animals (further defined in subsection 445.01, which is referenced in section 718.03 as quoted below). Objectives — offence against certain animals 718.03 When a...

Test Order - "Greeking Out"

Homer was another famous Greek poet, known for his stories The Iliad and The Odyssey, which made way for Hollywood’s template of the “Hero’s Journey.” In Iliad, the audience is expected to know about the Trojan War, as that’s where the poem’s setting is. It does not follow the entirety of the war, only a few weeks, and recounts some of the significant events that took place during the war, such as the beginning of the Trojan War and The Abduction of Helen. In The Odyssey, Homer writes about a hero (Odysseus) who is living ten years after the fall of Troy, having to go through continual chal...
