Biography

Jonas R. Johnson is a versatile writer who has been polishing his literary artistry since he was seven years old when he recalls composing his first poem. This sparked an inferno deep inside his heart for creative writing. Throughout his schooling career he loved essay writing and story-telling. He discovered he possessed an aptitude for rhyming and vocalizing his ideas when he was 15 years old, so he began composing rap lyrics. This, according to JR Johnson, marked the genesis of his very vast voyage as a writer.

During his teenage years, Johnson went on to form a rap group with friends from his neighborhood. They would have daily writing sessions, where iron would sharpen iron as they formulated the lyrics and songs they would ultimately perform and record together. Johnson's talent and passion for writing continued to flourish throughout his academic years. He had a knack for writing essays, and his major in university was Electronic Engineering (2003 - 2007). In 2011, Johnson expanded his writing skills by learning screenwriting and non-fictional essay writing, enrolled in a film-production course. In 2013, he penned his first screenplay - one that was not a college assignment, which he describes as a life-altering event.

From that moment on, Johnson knew that writing was his life's calling. Although, since his younger days he had always felt an innate force telling him he should become a writer/movie director one day. Since 2015, Johnson has written many unpublished short stories and screenplays. He enjoys writing in a variety of categories and techniques, ranging from mystery to horror to romance and comedy. Johnson's writing is noteworthy for its ability to transport readers to another universe while keeping them interested until the very end. Although Johnson's roots are firmly grounded in fictional writing and story-telling, he now feels like a fish in the waters of non-fictional writing. Since the same aforementioned year, Johnson has been teaching English to adults and older teenagers. Broadening his lexical and syntactical horizons, "always learning as he is teaching," Johnson always says.

For a number of years now, Johnson has thoroughly relished working as a non-fictional writer, adding a new dimension to his writing journey. Presently, he specializes in creating compelling non-fictional content across a broad spectrum of niches, bringing his unique voice and style to every project. Studied Electrical Engineering after high school and 10 years later I went back to school to complete one year of Film and Video production. I completed a TEFL diploma in 2016 and have been working as a certified English second language teacher ever since.

Interests and hobbies

I enjoy reading mystery novels more than any other genre. My all-time favorite authors being Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle and Dan Brown. Aside from books, I love watching movies and TV series. Absolute movie buff! I'm a lover of the outdoors and I regularly take mountain hikes. I also enjoy spending time at the beach.

Jonas was great at taking my concept, a highly technical business novel in the aerospace and defense industry, and making it a reality in an informative and engaging manner.
