Fiction writer specializing in romance, thrillers, and general/literary fiction
Biography
Hi there! I like to think of myself as a versatile writer. As a teen, my favorite activity was to scribble away about the things that tickled my imagination. I'd find a quiet spot in the middle of nowhere and write for hours together. Since then, I guess I've grown up, but even now, nothing beats the feeling of wandering into the woods, settling down under an old tree, and giving life to the swirls of ideas in my head! Living in the city, I don't have the good fortune of running into the wilderness whenever I please. Coffee shops and ambient music are not the ideal replacements, but they'll have to do.
My interests extend far and wide. Although I have a Master's degree in English Literature, I never confined myself to academic research. Instead, I dabble in creating fictional worlds and giving life to amusing characters. I guess that's a very writer-ish thing to say, but there you have it. I'm not immune from the numerous writerly maladies. When I'm not writing, though, I like to hit the gym or watch random comedy sketches while nibbling on something unhealthy... yeah, I'm a bundle of paradoxes.
Let me elaborate on my favorite niches and areas of expertise because I don't have a lot to say about myself. Someone else, maybe even you, would probably do a better job of describing me if you knew me. Not the best pitch for a writer, but I won't be writing about me, so it shouldn't matter, should it?
Romance has always been right up there on my list of favorite niches. Who doesn't love the idea of loving, right? Even when things go berserk in my personal life, a happily-ever-after still manages to make me smile. I love writing small-town romances, friends-to-lovers, enemies-to-lovers, romantic suspense... well, you name it, and I'll probably reply with a "Yes! How did I not remember that?"
Agatha Christie is one of my favorite authors, so you can say I'm big on mysteries and thrillers. I've got the soul of Ms. Marple and less than a quarter of the grey cells of Hercule Poirot. If I get a whiff of something mysterious, I try to figure out what kind of trouble is brewing. Of course, I'm a total dud at solving real-life mysteries, but not so bad at writing them. I've read almost every book by Frederick Forsyth and Robin Cook, which is why I developed a penchant for penning thrillers. Plus, brownie points to me for reading/listening to/watching a lot of true crime content. If you've got suspense on your mind, I'd be more than happy to assist.
Psychological horror is among my strong points, too. One of my works-in-progress is a book about a dementia patient's struggle with otherworldly experiences. I have binged enough movies and TV series relating to psychological horror to make me a novice expert on the subject. At one point, I used to write mental health content for a blog. I also completed a course in psychology while working a regular nine-to-five because I desperately wanted a way out of that workplace. Well, thanks to my writing superpowers, I have managed to quit that job and not be completely broke.
I also write general/literary fiction. Since I studied literature in college, I like to think I have an affinity for thoughtful and impactful prose. I'm a fan of experimental projects because I think masterpieces should have something unique about them.
Okay, I guess I shouldn't bore you any longer. Take a look at my samples to see if I'd be a good fit for your amazing project.
⏩️ ❗️Sidenote: I used to write nonfiction, but since I've realized it doesn't interest me all that much these days, I won't be taking on any nonfiction project.
Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications
I have a Master's degree in English Literature. Although I started my journey here at Dibbly as a nonfiction writer, my heart has always belonged to fiction, and all my work outside the platform has been in different fiction niches. Besides writing, I also edit, beta-read, review, and outline fiction projects. As of now, I have published three novels and a short story collection. Here are some genres I love to work on and have experience in: romance 💖 (all tropes, sub-genres, and unique topics), thriller/mystery 🕵🏼♀️ (cozy mystery, spy thrillers, political thrillers, psychological), historical fiction (war, regency, crime), children's books 👼🏻 (any topic), literary fiction 📕, and horror 🧛🏻 (psychological). I'm open to new ideas and would love to help you with a niche that's not so common. Feel free to send a DM. ***Currently not accepting nonfiction projects***
Interests and hobbies
Where to begin? Since I'm a writer, it's kind of apparent that I love reading! Apart from bookish hobbies (there's more to it than reading, believe me!), I like running, photography, and wildlife adventures. You might have guessed it, I love to travel (especially to places that are not featured in the average Top 10 list).
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
I'm kind of like a rose; I can be an absolute delight, but I've got my thorns too, and I don't always hide them. 🌹
How I'd describe my approach to my work
My content is always relatable, no matter what the subject. I don't like flowery writing, so I avoid it at all costs. I believe humor is one of my strong points, so I like to infuse humor into my writing. I'm also a keen researcher and love to look into background material for my fiction projects. I work best when I'm given creative freedom, but I'm always mindful of the client's vision, so I appreciate feedback.
Why should you choose me for your project
I respect the client's ideas and do better than my best to bring them to life. When writing, I always consider the reader's perspective and tweak my style to improve the reading experience. I get super excited about the projects I take on, so I give them my all. You should choose me because I will honor your vision and make sure your book resonates with people around the world!

Not Tonight
“Seychelles?” Chava wondered aloud, flipping through a travel magazine undecidedly. “We’re going to Japan.” Amparo’s voice was emphatic. Chava had been expecting opposition, but the finality in her partner’s tone made her do a double take. “Whoa there! Don’t act like you’re my boss or something.” Any mention of the b-word would have Amparo seething or clenching her teeth, preparing to send everyone to kingdom come. Despite knowing how she’d react, Chava never quit bringing her boss into every conversation she had with her wife. Jealousy was usually a good look on the gorgeous Ampar...
Fading Memories
Janet stole a few glances at the clock before rechecking the temperature of her oven. She was hyperventilating over the cake that was still in the process of baking. What if it wasn't moist enough? What if the top layer turned out to be a little too crunchy? No, she wouldn't think of the million things that could go wrong! She was an exceptional baker, and this strawberry sponge cake would be another of her mouth-watering creations! Little Harry used to gorge on cakes and make such a mess! Oh, he'll love the overly-sweetened cherry on top, she thought. But should she serve him in that big b...
The Reunion
“Hey,” Carmen responded casually to the call and rubbed her eyes. It was way too early in the morning for someone to be ringing her up, but her thoughts were still clouded by sleep, and she couldn’t bother to frown over the weirdness of this situation. “Good to know that you’re still alive,” teased the voice at the other end. It took Carmen almost thirty seconds to recognize that voice, but when she did, she felt a sudden burst of energy. Pushing the sheets aside, she jumped out of bed and almost took a spill. “BECCA?!” she screamed excitedly. “Whoa there, slow down! Seriously can...
True Nightmares
As Detective Mia Sinclair tightened her grip on the flashlight, the feeling of dread—that had been nascent for a long time—threatened to weaken her stubborn resolve. Although the blinding light from her flashlight dispelled much of the darkness from the asylum's corridors, it did little to take away the fear lurking everywhere. The walls seemed to close in around her and the silence was deafening. She paused outside Room 312, where the most recent murder had taken place. The door creaked open with a gentle push, revealing a scene that brought back a thousand haunting memories—it was terr...
A New Job
Troy slid the unmarked envelope across the bar, his eyes darting to the bartender who pretended not to notice. All the chatter in the dimly lit pub seemed to die down when Troy's world shrunk to the envelope and its recipient. He watched as Keira, with her dark hair pulled into a messy bun and a leather jacket that screamed "don't mess with me," picked it up without missing a beat in her conversation. She was good, Troy had to give her that. "So, what's next?" she asked what seemed like an incurious question. They both knew better than to discuss details here, but for them, dishing out c...
Impossible Connections
“Here we go again with the holiday hoopla,” thought Alana, as she navigated her way through the supermarket. The shelves were stacked with overly sweet candies or chocolates in heart-shaped boxes. Someone should’ve sounded the cringe alert. Oh wait, maybe the outrageously loud music blaring from the speakers on display was itself the cringe alert. She would’ve loathed such music even under normal, circumstances but now that she was frustrated after not being able to locate her favorite extra-strong mints, the noise felt like torture. To add to that, the frequent announcements asking custome...
The First Kiss
Sabi knew exactly what to expect in Ryan's New York City apartment because she'd seen the interiors countless times while on FaceTime with him. Of course, he had been a big distraction; she'd rather feast her eyes on him than on the decor, but she knew it was mostly just a cat-cafe-style library in the guise of a home. Still, despite knowing what she would find, Sabi was hyper-excited! The scent of fresh coffee mingled with the faint aroma of Ryan's cologne, which was better than his derisive description of it. When she'd asked him to describe how he smelled, he told her he used whatever co...
The Message
The year was 1814, and the streets of Vienna buzzed with a unique blend of anticipation and tension. As the city prepared for the grand Congress, where Europe's fate would be decided, citizens and visitors alike thronged the cafes, salons, and bustling markets. Among the crowd, a young woman moved with purpose. Her name was Clara Weiss, and she was no ordinary resident. Dressed in a modest yet elegant gown of deep burgundy, she carried herself with the grace of someone accustomed to higher circles, yet her sharp eyes and the determined set of her jaw spoke of a mission that transcended s...
The Plunge
The room was dimly lit, the air thick with the mingling scents of expensive cigars and the faint trace of cologne that sent a shiver down my spine. I shouldn’t have been here, in this den of danger and deception, but the magnetic pull was too strong to resist. There he was, Luca Moretti, leaning against the far wall with an air of casual confidence that made my heart race. His dark eyes met mine from across the room, and I felt the electricity snap between us like a live wire. Every instinct screamed at me to turn away, to remember the bitter blood that flowed between our families, but I...
The Billionaire's Charm
"You're not serious," Amelia scoffed, crossing her arms as she leaned against the doorframe of the lavish penthouse office. "You can't just buy my company and expect me to roll over like a well-trained puppy." Dominic Blackwood, billionaire tycoon and the epitome of power in a tailored suit, looked up from his desk, his piercing blue eyes meeting hers with an amused glint. "Miss Carter, I assure you, my offer is quite serious. Your company needs the investment, and I—" "Need to stroke your ego by taking over another business," she interrupted, flipping her hair over her shoulder defia...
The Sleuth with Silver Curls
Irene leaned forward, her teacup trembling slightly in her frail hand. "You know, George, it must be so difficult for you, being the village doctor and all," she began, her voice soft yet probing. "With all the secrets you must keep." Dr. George Hastings gave a tight smile, eyeing the door of the cozy tea shop. "Confidentiality is part of the job, Mrs. Fletcher," he replied, stirring his tea with deliberate calm. "I can't discuss my patients." "Oh, of course, of course," Irene nodded, her silver curls bobbing. "It's just that poor Mr. Thompson's sudden demise has everyone on edge. Suc...
