I have a lot of experience of academic writing, having co-authored several papers in the field of nuclear physics which were published in international academic journals, and also having written a 100,000 word PhD dissertation in the field of European Film Studies. I have also had a prize-winning short story published in the anthology 'Shorts: v.4: The Macallan/ "Scotland on Sunday" Short Story Collection' (edited by Michel Faber) in 2001. I have an MPhil in Nuclear Physics (The Open University) and a PhD in European Film Studies (The University of Edinburgh), specializing in Soviet Montage Cinema of the 1920s.

Interests and hobbies

My interests include walking, listening to classical and avant-garde music, playing the 4,000 year old Japanese board game Go, learning to speak Spanish, and reading.

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences

I am enthusiastic, highly self-motivated, and hard-working. I have intellectual curiosity, and enjoy discovering new things about the world and sharing what I've discovered with other people.

How I'd describe my approach to my work

I approach my work by first carefully preparing myself by researching the topic about which I will be writing, so that before I begin the actual writing process I have a comprehensive overview of the subject matter. I keep to a strict schedule while writing, to ensure that the project is completed in a timely fashion. I always ensure that I have incorporated the any feedback or changes requested by my client, revising my work until it completely meets their requirements. I always aim to produce the best work that I possibly can, every time.
