Cool, Calm, Creative, Analytical Educator and Coach Turned Freelance Writer
Biography
I have a diverse range of experiences and have a foundational understanding of many fields because I actually have engaged in the work. My roles have run the gamut from rough carpentry to musical performance. Currently, I’m continuing my role as an academic instructor and education specialist, where I focus on more than just course content. In this role, I make sure to build rapport with my clients or students, as I am better able to assist them in discovering the "story" that they want to share or want to let go. What inspires me the most is that “light-bulb” moment when a client or student discovers this “story" and then decides to either continue with it or uncreate it and create a new one. I know my experiences and skill sets will be a great asset as a freelance writer.
Previous experience, degrees, and qualifications
I have a wide range of experiences that includes food, beverage, and hospitality, building and pavement construction, musical entertainment, and educational instructor and coach. I have developed training programs, created marketing campaigns, designed curriculum plans for both remote and in-person delivery, and have written an e-book on the network marketing industry. I obtained my Master of Education degree form Chaminade University and hold a Colorado Educator Certificate.
Additionally, I have written articles on education reform for the digital news media,. Although this organization is no longer in existence, I gained insight into the journalism field through this experience.
Interests and hobbies
I like to read and probably read two to three novels a week, along with non-fiction work pertaining to life insights and personal growth. My spouse and I walk and hike, having recently given-up downhill skiing. Occasionally, I will dabble in acrylic painting and love to cook Indian food.
How I'd describe my personality in two sentences
Based on a True Colors Personality test, I default to a "Green" and green color personalities are analytical, cool, calm, collected, creative, abstract, conceptual, logical, and problem solvers. My strong second color, my survival color, is "Orange" and orange color personalities are witty, charming, optimistic, bold, generous, impactful, and impulsive.
How I'd describe my approach to my work
My approach to work and work related tasks is to create a systems or system to operate from. I do best with a general and broad outline to start and then work to fill-in the details. True to my green color personality, I analyze my environment or determine the best approach before I begin and then create my plan of attack. Most often I spend time visualizing or ruminating on an idea first before I actually put pen to paper to create my plan.
Why should you choose me for your project
You would want to choose me for your project if you need well-thought-out, creative, positive, and detail supported ideas. I am also not shy about stepping into new areas and welcome challenges to do so. I would also welcome the opportunity to flesh out your visions and produce a tangible product.

Examiner Article - Education Reform
Examiner Article #12 2009 February 1, 2009 Title - "Duncan continues punitive approach to education reform" Before we look at the current Education Secretary's take on the economic stimulus package, I would briefly say I have not yet heard from Samantha Long who is the point of contact regarding the town-hall meeting held in Denver last Tuesday, January 27. As I had written earlier, these town-hall meetings were slated to occur at various locations throughout the state, twelve in all. Purpose of these meetings is to gather input regarding content standards reform in alignment with...
Stoicism
To embrace the philosophy of the Stoics, one needs to have a basic understanding of the key elements. These foundational elements are Logic, Ethics, and Physics. They sort of work in congress with each other and no one element is more important than the other two. As a philosophy, Stoicism is designed for use in daily living. So, let’s take a closer look at the three basic aspects of logic, ethics, and physics of this philosophy, a philosophy that supports and reveals a better way of living, aligning us with the natural laws of the universe and thus providing us with eudaimonia or well being.
