Cleo Sage Smith

Biography

Hello, my name is, and I am from Cebu City. I took up BA in Communication Arts at Cebu Normal University and graduated in March 2013.

I was a blogger for seven years and wrote about my travels and other interests such as music, books, movies, food and fashion.

I had regular day jobs as well like a Customer Service Advisor at Globe Telecom, then as a Freelance Content Writer for a US client, and as a Social Media Specialist for Havas Media Ortega.

After, I moved to Singapore to try to live independently and worked as a Barista for a short period before landing my regular job as a Customer Service Advisor for Mazda Motor Insurance.

Amidst the pandemic, I returned home and continued working as a Freelance Social Media Manager and Content Writer.

I enjoy reading books and watching movies, learning other languages like French and Korean, watching vlogs, and listening to music because it widens the horizons of my mind and make me feel like being in a different, inspiring world. I also love the outdoors and relish those moments I am out travelling, mountain climbing, hiking, and diving. And to keep myself grounded, journaling, baking, and cooking are my favorite things to spend time with.

Ever since I was young, I enjoyed reading so much that my mother used to gift me encyclopedias, dictionaries and storybooks each time I made it as an honour student. Before, I mostly devoured fiction, but now I have expanded my horizons and enjoy self-help, biopic books and other genres as I mature.

Similar to reading, I started to love writing when I was in primary school and even joined literary and essay contests.

How I'd describe my personality in two sentences

Describing myself as most of the time phlegmatic and sanguine would be accurate. And if I'm being honest, a tiny dash, just the slightest dash of choleric and melancholic (but always manageable), especially when I have my monthly visitor.

How I'd describe my approach to my work

To save time, receiving clear and succinct instructions is important for me. I value mutual respect, and I always deliver and meet my client's expectations. Otherwise, I'm always open to constructive feedback and revisions.

Why should you choose me for your project

Being a blogger since my college days and eventually becoming a Freelance Content Writer in the last six years in the lifestyle, entertainment, crypto and travel niches has gained me enough experience and knowledge in the job. In addition, as a result-driven professional, I have also produced effective deliverables for clients' email marketing, websites, press releases, and Instagram and Facebook content.

Applying as a Content Writer is not only a role I am interested in, but I am also intent on bringing significant value to your company. Since I am highly organized, and consistently effective in my work, I am confident you will see a positive, immediate return on your investment after hiring me.
